Wawrinka Yonex racquet grip size

He uses a custom pallet created by P1.

See how the racquets got sent to P1 without pallets...

Why pros use customized pallet by P1?

If that is the case, all retail racquets should change into something similar to P1 pallet.

Interesting that you can see the leather grip at the top, where the overgrip stops. Is that new? I don't recall him doing that, but admittedly haven't seen him play much lately.

I know you are kidding but technically P1 doesnt have a pallet sysytem... it is a custom molded handle.

so does P1 have their own Pellets or not ? Or do they have Molding machine similar to **** ? **** will remold your racket to any size and any shape you want.

IF P1 uses their own Pellets then where do they get it from ? and does the pellet comes in all different grip sizes and Grip shapes too ?

He's been doing that for 10+ years now.

Not the fact that he's got leather underneath; that the OG stops before the top of the grip . I don't recall that prior, let alone for 10+ years.

The overgrip is what I thought you were referring to. I was actually looking at photos of Stan the other day from back in 2007 when he was playing with his Head racquets and he was stopping the OG short back then too.

Gotcha, stoo & EasternRocks. Guess I haven't been paying very close attention.

Thought maybe he was copying Gasquet's method, though last I noticed, he has part of the pallet showing.

Customization operations like P1 and **** can make a replica of any handle/pallet and put that on any racquet that can be taken to a hairpin state. Some racquets of the past had the handle molded as part of the hairpin so they could not have different handles/pallets applied. The process of creating a new custom mould is costly and time consuming. It is where the bulk of the expense lies in custom handles/pallets. Obviously the term pallet is used interchangeably with handle. This sometimes can be confused with the two piece pallet system that Head and Volkl use. I only know enough to be dangerous!
