When is it acceptable to wear black socks while playing tennis? I put them on the other day with my white tennis shoes to go for a walk outside, and my wife told me they look rediculous. Do you only wear black socks with black shoes? Also does it matter what color your shorts are when you wear black socks? I like black socks, but I don't have much of a fashion sense.

As long as the shoes have a bit of black in them, its perfectly acceptable to wear black socks. Also, I feel the same rules apply for clothing...if theres some black in there, go with black socks. If not, slap on some black wristbands.

think black socks with white shoes look fine ! but i think white socks with black shoes such as the black CB1.3 just look silly. just my opinion
