Weird H2H

Glad to see you think that's weird. :)

well she finally admitted who is better

to cumulate with these opinions ill just take the words of my dear friend Jemar in reply to Ms. Veroniquem's Post

I think it's funny that it seems like complete idiocy and liking Nadal kinda go together on this site.

That's not to say that all our Nadal fans are idiots, it just seems that all our idiots are Nadal fans.

funny... you dont seem the least bit embarassed by the fact that Harhuis is 10 times the player Hrbaty is ...
Is he?
Haarhuis won just 1 title during his whole career, Hrbaty 6.

Hrbaty also has the higher career best ranking and clearly better slams results.
Haarhuis is only a better player in doubles.

hum hum... sooo?

i see you are one of those poor minded posters that think achievements and quality are one and the same.

ps: Ford Cars must be great in your opinion and Coca Cola is for sure the greatest drink on earth......

How are Ford/Coca Cola and the decade long career of a tennis player comparable?

If you can't win a a single big title in your career you're just not that good.

Nalbandian isn't consistent either, but once in a while he dismantles everyone and shows what he's capable of.
Haarhuis best achievement ist beating Radomir Vasek (who?) in Jakarta.

i didn't even like the guy (haarhuis)... but he was a double specialist who regularly gave problems to some top players in single:
3-1 vs sampras
7-5 vs ivanisevic
3-3 vs becker
etc.

by the way, off-topic but i'm going to your country on holidays (now)... and i want some sun !

All those players have a very serve-heavy game and are not very consistent, so when Haarhuis got a break he usually won the set (as he himself had a big serve).

When a player was consistent from the baseline and had a good return he was toast (1-8 against Chang).

Another poster has noted this before : their head to head is slightly misleading. If you were watching their matches in the 90's or if you look closely at their match scores, you will see LOTS of hard fought 7-6's 7-5's, 6-4's sets. It just turned out that Pete was able to gain the upper hand on Courier. Also, look at the surfaces they were playing on.

There are lots of those scores in most Sampras matches.

He just skated along, doing enough to win with a break or tiebreak each set. He knew he wouldnt lose serve so just did the minimum needed to break.

Hewitt was 4-0 vs Nadal but that was Nadal pre 2005 and on HC hence the obvious :D

Was Henman something like 6-3 vs Federer at one point as well? That's sort of surprising

Also pre Fed 2004, Nalbandian was 5-0 vs Fed :shock::shock:
