Weiss cannon ultra cable comfortable?

Was looking to put ultra cable in the mains and a multi or syn gut in the crosses. Seems like lots of polys are described as comfortable.
Anyone tried the weiss cannon ultra cable in a hybrid or full set?

For a poly, it is comfortable in a full bed. Unique in that it plays soft and comfy but relatively low powered compared to other soft polys. Never tried it hybrid.

most comfortable poly ive played with, however tension maintenance is the worst - becomes too pingy within 90mins, im just a 4.5 player

It's quite comfortable. I play it at ~45lbs full bed. I play it until it breaks and get about 20-30 hours out of it depending on what kind of tennis I'm playing. Spin is quite good, but it's all relative. I get similar spin from regular syn gut on most shots with high swing speed. On lower swing speed shots the WCUC grabs more and spin serves grab better with the WCUC.

I don't imagine the sharp edges of WCUC would be very nice to the other string in a non-poly hybrid so I haven't even wanted to try it. I don't think it would offer much benefit compared to full bed, but if you end up trying it let us know how it goes.

I just tried it with 16 g head velocity in the crosses at 42 lbs. Feels pretty good. Have to see how it lasts and whether the ultra cable eats the crosses

I thought it was going to be hard to string but it was actually easier than a round poly once i got it untangled

I've tried UC hybrided with Kirschbaum syn gut crosses in a '21 VCore Pro 97 and the combo was awesome. The syn gut crosses gave the UC mains some nice added pop, and while I suspected the UC mains sharp corners would shave down the syn gut crosses into oblivion in no time, they actually held up quite well over 8-10 hours, with snapback being pretty well retained during that time. It seemed as though the flat sides of UC were making the bulk of the contact, less so the sharp corners, and overall, I was pretty pleased with the way the string bed aged, all things considered. As a side note, Kirschbaum syn gut probably has to be the best deal in a tennis string, period, at <$40 per reel (on Amazon at least).

Another sharp square string you might want to look at is Grapplesnake Game Changer. GC is even ever-so-slightly more sharp than Ultra Cable, and holds its tension better over time. It's also slightly softer in feel, especially the green color (silver plays slightly more crisp than the green, but still a tad bit softer than Ultra Cable).

I really like UC in my Radical MP. I'm stringing at 46lbs with 15% machine prestretch. It took about two days of hitting to fully break in, but I really like where its at right now. RacquetTune tells me it has settled around 40lbs.

So comfortable I was kind of shocked when I first tried it. It was the first poly string I ever tried and I was expecting something very harsh.

Yes, extremely comfortable. And extremely heavy. Made more than 3 g and around 7 SW points difference compared to my usual 17G string (Gamma Moto 1.24).

i’ve been really enjoying the yellow UC at 46#. you all have convinced me to go a bit lower in tension as well.

can anyone speak to black & white versions as they compare to yellow in playability? I’ll be due for a new reel soon.
