Well I did it!!!

Well Sports Fans,

My curiousity got the best of me and I entered the US Open Playoffs tournament in Arlington, TX, which starts on June 18th. The applicant list showed 83 entrants for the mens division and it's been interesting seeing the variety of playing results of the other applicants. I'm sure a few have seen mine and are probably hoping to draw me in the first round! LOL

I figured when the time comes, I'll share my experiences albeit brief I'm sure. When I originally asked the question if any of you other board members has played the tournament, I enjoyed reading the responses. I also appreciated the fact that no one really was very critical of the fact I wanted to play.

If anybody is playing in Arlington as well, good luck! Stay tuned for my "Court Report"!!! I wonder if Arlene Santana will interview me???

so mean, but why? :?

We would love to see some nice vids or pictures :D

lol just having a little fun. It's pretty cool. But in contrast to golf, which also has a qualifying for the US Open, there's not many who could make it through qualifying whereas a local pro actually has a decent shot if he can string some holes together.

Alway nice to stretch the limits of your game. Hope you're a 4.5, so at least can make the opponent run and sweat a little bit. Don't get wide eyed and lose your focus...win one game each set!

if you are a 4.5 you can do fine. there are many boys 18's playing that can easily be rattled and even beaten by an adult 4.5. Have fun, and hope for a good draw.
playing in the eastern section, see you in CT for the finals.

Good Luck in your Section Dragonmuffin... I figured if I draw a kid, I'll play old man tennis to mess with him... LOL
