Were Roger and Rafa rooting for Novak

What do you think? I love Sinner and Alcaraz and think they are both ATGs. However the now non stop comments by media saying the big 3 era has been surpassed and is over (Djokovic has just reached 3 slam SFs) is getting a bit grating for two reasons..1. Its disrespectful to the big 3 and 2) its disrespectful to Sinner and Alcaraz to keep saying they have elements of the big 3game when they are great players in their own right.

The thought occurred to me that maybe (given Federer picked Djokovic to beat Sinner in an unguarded throw away comment) Rafa Roger and Andy were hoping Novak could win Wimbledon to maybe shut down some of these hyperbolic pundits. Historically players do usually root for their own generation who are still playing when they have retired.

There is alot of propaganda going on in tennis, the BBC yesterday clearly wanted an Alcaraz win. When Sinner won they did not show him chatting to Kate Middleton near the balcony which they have done now for years, and didn't show him parade the trophy to the fans on the balcony, they had 5.mins of a chat between Balding (looking miserable) and Henman and Woodbridge then abruptly ended the show.

Not sure how other broadcasts were . The BBC though were obsessed with mentioning the Big 3 all the time as inferior to these two

Chill as he is, I find it impossible to believe Fed isn’t happy to keep his stand alone record at the biggest slam in tennis.

I don’t think Rafa would be sad if Novak was done winning slams either.

You would assume so but then again they sort of also appreciate the hard work it takes to keep playing at the highest level so it could be they also admire what Novak is doing. I'm certain they get p*used off hearing pundits spouting Sinner and Alcaraz are greater than them!!

Yeah but Fed didn't even know that Sinner and Novak were playing in the semis.

I doubt Fedal care, they're retired.
