western vs. eastern grip.

i played with eastern grip today opposed to western grip, i got a more solid feel and flatter harder balls. How might you improve the eastern forehand coming from a western grip

and can someone list the pro and cons of each?!

thanks!

^ That sums it up nicely. You can get some decent topspin with an Eastern grip, especially with a WW swing, but it is generally easier to get massive topspin with Western grips.

Have you considered the SW grip (or a strong Eastern that shades toward the SW grip)?

Wow! Are you seriously thinking of changing your FH grip? You really need to read The Lure of the Big Game by Ng. I would seriously think twice before going down this road.

Eastern or conti for tall guys facing lower bouncing balls.
Western for shorties facing high bouncing balls.
Western takes more energy.

As said before, why not work with a Semi-Western for a bit as it would be less drastic of a change and you may find that you prefer the SW more than the Eastern.
