What’s Ferrero like 2-5000 in good vs. bad gameplans?

I think Ferrero was good for Alcaraz, but the relationship has run its course.
This all day long.

Ask yourself this: if Carlos switched coaches (to any listed in this thread) would he be better or worse? I honestly don't think he can be playing much worse than he is now. He wins because he's so damn talented. But he needs a different voice in his ear.

He rarely has routine matches now, he could go out 3rd round, he could win the title, just seems to depend on him getting his range and feeling confident. He's always the better player on court but it doesn't equate to routine wins.

No knock on JCF but clearly Carlos has untapped potential in the mental and strategic part of the game. Oh and the SERVE. Please someone help him with that serve. Serve almost looks like's it's getting worse.

Sinner fired his whole team a couple years back. Djoker is always trying new coaches to help different parts of his game. Carlos should do the same.

Why not? Really what's the worst that could happen?

Great post op , i have been saying this for years. JCF is not a tennis coach period!! Carlos plays the same mindless tennis when he was 17 or probably at junior circuit. him winning channel slam can’t mask the glaring lack of development and lack of basic ingredients in his game. when he can’t hit through a solid defender he sprays errors or start going for extra , no game plan , no point construction, no shot selection , no tennis iq and yet posters think everything is okay!

Ferrero is a Tomic level coach. Alcaraz deserves Ivanisevic as serve coach, Nadal as tactics coach and Federer as dropshot coach. Everything that Carlos has shown is mug like. I wonder how he's won anything beyond a club level match let a lone a GS. If he ever shows up at my club me and the boys are going to boo him until he learns to hit a BH.
Supreme level sh*roosting almost had me

Guy has started the clay season with a title in Monte Carlo and a 2nd place in Barcelona and we should consider this Ferrero's failure? What are you guys expecting? A Rafa-like dominance?
Against this field? Absolutely.

It’s about 20 times worse than the one Rafa played. Peak Rafa had dominance like this playing Federer and Djokovic and a whole host of second tier players.

Carlos can’t even get past “Holger Rune”

Ngl the Holger Rune loss is embarrassing. Nadal was match point down against Tsitsipas in Barcelona 21’ and still found a way to win when playing like trash, and the King was almost 36

The only embarrassing thing here is this thread where the usual suspects have come together to be totally clueless as usual. Alcaraz “gave up” in the second set, totally didn’t try to end the match as quickly as possible because he was injured. Sure. Like he’s now just wondering if he should give up on Madrid too for no reason
