I would be really relieved if someone could certify that Vitas never uttered the word super anywhere, especially at Studio 54 during the late 70’s disco era.

I don’t know what’s going on with post certification. The last submission I made for post certification resulted in an 404 Error. It was super disappointing.

I have no issues when super is a prefix. So none of the examples of such usage above are triggering for me. It’s not always a fun word though like most of such examples. No one is thrilled to learn they are living down the block from a Superfund site.

I have indeed seen tournaments (and played) in my region with the 11-point supertiebreaks. I haven't seen those since 15 years ago.

I checked now, and it seems 11-point tie breaks haven't been official practice.

It could have been a misinterpretation of local organizers.

I think it might just be a case of bad luck on your part.

From the chaotic picture you paint, I don’t see them as all that different from their neighbors. In fact, they’ve managed to build a stronger nation than most in the region. Of course, there’s still significant inequality, especially when you look at the disparities between their internal regions.

In a way, and from a personal standpoint, I actually envy Brazilians, as they tend to be more easygoing than we Argies.

So Tuesday evening the city of NY kindly closed off 5th avenue for around 20 blocks or so of an area that is dense with museums so people could stroll along 5th Ave and the museums offered free entry. There were also kids activities, music and dance on the street itself and the earlier rain turned to sun so I guess people were in the mood to go out to see some art. Problem was the lines to get into some of the museums made me want to pay.

After passing by a group that thought it was a good time to take all their clothes off and be body painted we wound up all the way up on 105th at what is IMO an underrated museum: The Museum of the City of NY. On one of the floors they had an exhibit about the history of dance in NYC and I spotted a poster of Dr Raul’s fav Tony Manero from the movie Saturday Night Fever. But while that is what caught my eye what held my interest was on the wall next to it. A guest list of Studio 54 from a Friday night in 1978. I immediately scanned the list to see if I could find Vitas and Dr Raul. Unfortunately I could not. The only names I recognized were: Peter Frampton, Ringo Starr, Lindsay Wagner (The Bionic Woman) and Bob Pitt (who ran MTV back in its early days). All who were comped.

I doubt Vitas or Raul would want to hang with some biz executive but I could see them with the other three. It’s possible Dr Raul used another name when he went disco dancing like he has on TTW.
