I haven’t worn Barricades in a while. The last couple years I have been wearing the Head Revolt Pro as I got some on clearance. They had nice cushioning and a wider fit. I haven’t tried the newer model yet.
If you don’t need the wider fit the Yonex shoes are pretty nice but not as plush as the Revolt Pros. However they are also lighter a bit more stable and much cooler looking than the boring white Revolts I got on clearance.

I Have tried on a few Diadora models and never like them. Weird fit and terrible cushioning. Feels hard compared to other brands.

I have 4 barricades and 4 Vapor X's that I rotate weekly.

I wore the SCB for awhile and ended up not liking them. Now I wear the Gel Res 7 and like them, but might go back to the Barricade Boost when they wear out.

I know you said the Diadora didn't seem to be your fit but if you didn't try the newer ones yet I think you might want to give them a shot. I'm enjoying both Speed and Fly versions very much. Speed is more like Barricades where Fly is more comfort oriented. I love the 2017 barricade boost I am still using as well, they still are a notch above but since no longer available the Speed is close enough for me.

I never left....found some 2015 Barricade Boost and the 2016 Barricade Y3 shoe and will ride these into the ground.

Sole Court Boost are the best shoes I've ever worn for tennis. Durable, great cushioning, fit my feet like a glove. So glad that adidas made a wide sole shoe for us sasquatches. Could never really fit the Barricades without pain for the first 5 matches or so.

Notice they have a six month warranty too. it seems to be a bit lighter.

2018 Barricades Boost were the best shoes ever made, followed by the 2017 model
All of my issues started when I switched to others (SoleCourt Boost, FF2...)

You can still get the 2018 Barricades at competitor's sites and still get a 6-month sole warranty on them

Haven't tried them but they look painful with all the plastic on the side. Currently wearing the Ubersonic 2 and it's not too bad.

Same issue here and then I tried the Nike Vapor X. Loved the lacing system and fit (I have a wide foot) but I felt my feet were pronated when using them. It caused some infrequent pain on the bone above the ball of the foot. I didnt feel the shoe provided a neutral position for my feet.
I then bought a pair of the Adidas Sole Court Boost and Nike Air Zoom Prestige. I liked both for the Neutral foot position and good cushioning but I felt the Air Zoom Prestige was a much more truer to fit and size.
When I used the Adidas Barricades, I used a size 12 and I got sizes 11.5 and 12's to try in the Adidas SCB. The 11.5's were good in length but were not wide enough for my feet and the 12's had the right width but had some extra room in the front. I kept the 12's because I got the shoe on sale. They are great shoes but when I play I can "feel" I have slightly larger shoes on whereas I dont even think about the shoe when playing with the Nike AZP.

Huh? What Barricades were you using? I have used or tried Barricades from the 8s through the 2018 models and they were always relative narrow. I got the SCB down 2/3rds from my usual size in the Barricades, and have plenty of room without being overly wide. I actually ordered three pairs: my usual size, 2/3rds down, and 1 size down, because of the conflicting reports on the sizing, especially on the Parley models. The actual size had too much room at the front and slightly wider on the side of the shoe box, the 1 size smaller was still OK, but I felt a bit too tight and the 2/3rds down was spot on, with plenty of room and just the right amount of support. I don't see how a Barricade has more room at the front than a SCB half a size smaller, let alone the SCB being "narrow" per se. My own experience and almost every review that cared to note that indicate that SCB are on the wider side of things.
I had the Barricade 4.

Lol. After I got them, around 10 years ago, I played in them for a few months but then stopped tennis for 10 years until this year. Got back into tennis and played with the Barricades for 2 months (March and April) and they were fine but didnt want to risk any injury if the shoe gave way, due to degradation of the glue or materials, and so started looking for a replacement. That's when I discovered the end of the Barricade line and proceeded with the Nike's and SCB.

I think that people should preface their inquiries about equipment with the frame within they operate (experience, special circumstances). I bet that no one reading your experience with the Barricades would have assumed that your are talking about a model that went through 10 iterations before nowadays and that is really confusing, when reading such posts. Even the people that have used the Barricade 4 will have a fuzzy memory about it, unless they were convinced that it is the perfect fit for them and falls into the category of the so called "GOAT" shoes (and even that it is not a guarantee that it won't be so, as was the case with many Vapor 6 users). BTW, the SCB is one of the widest tennis shoes on the market at the moment (not talking about extra wide sizes, just normal sizing), so if you don't have room in those I don't see how you will have in almost any other shoe. I assume that there is more info in that comparison that isn't mentioned.

Nike Cage 3.... love them. Used almost the whole lineup, from the 2's till the 9. Loved the durability and price, always bought them on discount, at less than 90 dollars.
When prices went up I tried the Nike Cage 3's. Theyre my fav shoes for about three years now, have used 4, and just bought two. I gotta say, for me, they fit better than any of the Barricades, Nike makes a more comfortable shoe.

I’m hardly a supreme example of an ex-barricade user given that I used the 3’s for a while and loved em but was not super happy with the 4’s. I went to Nike Ballistics until they pooped out. Last nt I ordered some Diadora Speed Comp 5 AG’s— though Is try em out. I did use and grew to love the Asics Gels Res 3 or 4 I think most recently fyi.
