What are the unwritten rules of ATP/WTA?

What are the unwritten rules of pro tennis? Thought about this due to baseball and how dumb their unwritten rules are, like no bunting on a no hitter, no bat flips, dont take more than a minute to round the bases on a HR, retaliation by plunking of breaking the unwritten rules . Anyway, What are the tennis unwritten rules. FYI not a fan of this, just curious, if its so important it should be a real rule, and you can legislate it in the spirit of the law and not the letter of the law.

- Always finish the match with a shake, hug or kiss
- Be ready to return based on the server’s pace
- Dont make noises on opponents overheads to try and distract,
- Dont toss the ball and catch it on the serve just to see how the returner is leaning
- Dont fist pump or celebrate a double fault unless match point
- Dont underhand or drop serve when the opponent is 5 ft behind the baseline, (I wonder if Chang would have gotten crazy hate if he did it today)
- Concede the point if you know for sure it was in/out or double bounce.
- Raise your hand or say sorry if you benefited from a net cord

Am sure I missed a ton.

I think the following are written rules:

- Be ready to return based on the server’s pace
- Dont make noises on opponents overheads to try and distract,
- Concede the point if you know for sure it was in/out or double bounce.

The last one I meant if it was called the other way. think back to roddick/verdasco

I'm not sure, but I think handshakes are more appropriate for ATP. Fist bump at least...this just doesn't look right. :cautious:

No butt picking on court

You talking about Lauren Davis? She was stung on the butt by a wasp.

I don't understand why doing either of these is frowned upon. Serve however you want within legal limits. Why apologize for a net cord point? If you didn't hit it with enough pace/spin and in that spot on the net, it wouldn't go over. There's no luck involved in that, its physics. I dislike players having to go out of their way to be politically correct or whatever.
