I think Piazzolla reflects the city of Buenos Aires better than anyone.
Knew that about bandoneón.I have never lived in Buenos Aires, sadly. I have visited some decades ago.
I came across him and that sort of music when I was still young and in Paris and other places in Switzerland and Germany there were still substantial pockets of tango culture (did you know that bandoneon as an instrument was invented in Germany and via immigrants came first to North and then to South America?).
