LOL I had those once, but they were too big, and my foot kept coming out of them when I would have to sprint for a drop shot! Funny what memories some photos bring up!

Too big because I wore a 8.5 and they only had a 9.5 in stock! I was an impatient kid, and didn't want to wait for my size to be in stock!
This is probably from too long ago but... if you went 8.5 would they have fit?
Because diadora makes these now and I want to get it, but I can't try them on first because I live in Canada

I remember being 17 and the local shop had gotten in Diadora's. They were the model Borg wore. And these were before his signature was on them. I bought a pair. I was so awestruck I wouldn't wear them for the first two months. The adidas Nastase's I was wearing were about to fall off my feet. I finally started wearing them and they, as I remember, were sublime: like gloves. Dang I wish tennis shoes were as comfortable as they used to be.

I'll try just about any shoe that sounds like it will fit my foot, especially if I have nostalgic memories of it! For example I saw that K-Swiss is bringing back the Si-18 International, and I already put in an order through my shop's account to get a pair! If I see the Duratech Elites from one of my distributors, I'll probably pick up a pair, but not in a 9.5!

How was the fit lengthwise and widthwise for the toe though?

I don't know whether he ever did, because I don't know how similar this version is to whatever they had back in '90-'91. The colourway was very clearly inspired by whatever Courier was wearing in the above photos, with white/teal/purple/pink.
The width in the toe box was pretty generous, which is probably why I loved them so much. Plus, it's a leather upper, so there's plenty of give.
Generous compared to which models in your opinion? (Asking for reference and to compare)

Specifically compared to other Diadoras, or to tennis shoes in general? I've never had any other Diadoras. Prior to getting these ones, I'd been using a variety of Head Sprint Pros and Teams, and some Asics Solution Speeds (mainly due to local availability). The Diadora was definitely wider in the toe than all of those. I haven't worn any Nike or Adidas in over a decade.
So it was pretty light then.
So you have no interest in trying the duratech elite right?
