What equipment do you play with? I use the Wilson Strike BLX, with Slazenger Wimbledon all court balls. :)

You like the Hawk pretty good, Mike?

Hey spinny, sorry I didn't notice your comment earlier.

I do like it, however I just wish it had a bit more spin potential. It excels in comfort and feel for a poly after it settles in and also the tension maintenance has been outstanding. It's also a medium powered poly compared to others. Try it out.

Wilson Blade 98 18x20, Mantis Tour Balls (play mostly in synthetic grass which these balls excel on)

I've been using my Exo3 93 lately (with Bab Skin Feel instead of leather grip). It's strange because I have never seen much love for this racket, but with the grip change its just awesome. Easy to swing for a 340g static/330sw racket. Great from the baseline and superb at the net. And so comfortable. For some reason I'm not sure I want to like it, but when I start playing with it I can't put it down.

And I use Dunlop Fort balls.

Babolat Pure Drive Lites (most underrated stick around) and usually Wilson US Opens or whatever I have in my bag.

Still using my trusty nCode Six-One 95, 16x18 with either Penn or Dunlop balls. I just haven't come across anything else that can take the nCode's place yet.

This thread is meaningless unless people include their USTA rating. 3.0 players are going to use light granny racquets, whereas 5.0 players probably use heavier frames.

But why does any of this matter? What works for you may not work for someone else.

Because this is a forum and people like to know what other people use, like and dislike, and their reasons. It's a discussion thread.

And knowing a person's rating is not relevant, as is their choice of racket related to their ability. I use a racket that is marketed for players at 5.0 or open level, but I am neither, nor am I in the US and nor do I have a USTA ranking.

You have wasted precious seconds of your life by typing a pointless message on a thread you clearly have no interest it. The tradegy is, I have wasted seconds of mine by responding and supporting the posters on here as a result of your message. Nothing positive or constructive to say or add, just move along.

I've been playing the 2013 Babolat APD with various string. But a bad case of tennis elbow has cast me back into racquet demo purgatory.

Babolat Aero Pro Drive GT (2011 model) and i absolutely hate it, feels like a steel rod, power is decent, can't crack in a good fast serve, well fast but not as fast as i can hit one, slices always go too high, racket is too light had to lead it up by 25 grams, very inconsistent from the baseline, one handed backhand just does not work with this so about 75% of the time i slice on the backhand side, been using this for the last 2 months however i have had it since 2012 but only use it when my main rackets have broken strings, its my SECOND back up racket, only bought it cause of Nadal even though i know of the whole paint job marketing thing, bad mistake, constant arm/wrist pains, broke the strings on my main two rackets within 4 days of one another, bad luck

Babolat Pure Drive GT (2012 model) i rather hate this one too, can't hit a good one handed backhand with this as well, serving is good, more power then the APDGT, more control, more power, but overall i don't like the feel of the racket, really stiff just like the APDGT and has caused me some ongoing arm/wrist pains, its my back up racket

Wilson NCODE six one 95 tour, My best racket, always get good consistent baseline rallies going, can hit with confidence unlike the Babolats, slices stay nice and low, one handed backhand just WORKS with this thing! nice and heavy at 350 grams, Ground strokes and Serving is less powerful then the Babolats but i suspect its because i haven't actually restrung this racket in 7 years, I've played with it in the rain and the strings will like a wooden board and i have been playing with it consistently since i bought it in 2006 LOL, but now its finally time to get it restrung, so when i do get it restrung I'm sure the serving and power of this racket will increase dramatically, will restring with a multi-filament arm friendly string at 52-54lbs

I've had good luck with strings, i mean i hit pretty hard and on average the rackets strings have lasted agees, run of luck ended though as i broke the strings on my Wilson NCODE six one 95 after having the same strings for 7 years and the strings on my Babolat Pure Drive GT in the same week

The babolats are strung with RPM BLAST at 58 lbs, which is much too high, but its the first time i had them both restrung (did em both on the same day) but with some research I've decided whenever i get them both restrung again or maybe just the PURE STORM as I may just give up on the APDGT, I'll get them strung at 52-53lbs, as the high tension is probably whats killing my arm
