I used to use an electric shaver , I liked it but I had to shave at least twice a day though, if I went out late I needed another shave. My dad used an electric one ever since I can remember. That is why I bought one when I could shave.
I grow little facial hair and can shave every 3 days but my brother is semi hairy
I had a friend the same way. He only had to shave about every three of four days. His younger brother grew a short beard in High School. He looked like one of the teachers rather than a student.

I've got my own little boycott of Proctor & Gamble going on: join me if you want to, don't join if you don't want to. It's a club kind of thing. At any rate, I have always gone cheap, cheap, cheap. I used cheap plastic razors that you buy at places like walmart or a dollar store.
The curious thing I do is to use shaving cake soap in a shaving mug. With a boar's bristle brush. This I began doing in the early 1990s once there was all this news noise about landfill being full of diapers and junk. . . like shaving cream cans.

A lot of people have this thing against P&G. Maybe it's related to the Patriots, after all, they play in Gillette Stadium.
The Gillette products are better, sometimes a lot better, than the cheap plastic stuff. But, if I'm only going to shave every two to three weeks, then the cheap stuff works, even if it only is good for two to three uses. The downside is the amount of waste. But it's better than shaving every day. I think that individual blades generate far less waste. Cartridges generate less waste but the razor companies charge more for cartridges than for disposables because they know that people want to generate less waste.
As far as shaving lotion goes? I just use the soap in the automated hand dispensers. That works well-enough for me.

LOL, I've seen a lot of people on the road getting their armpits shaved. Some even get their chest shaved. I wondered if some marriage or something was coming up.

There was that semi-famous correlational study some 25 years ago reported in The Wall Street Journal and elsewhere suggesting a link between electric razor use and leukemia. I don't think it was ever confirmed by other studies, but some anxious types fretted that it made some sense because the electromagnetic field from the razor passes very close to lymph nodes on the neck and lower facial areas.

I once, ONCE, shaved with a Bic single blade. The Worst shave ever. Better off breaking a Coke bottle on a sidewalk.

The bar was added because Indian men have thicker hair and a higher hair density than their American counterparts. Adding to that, they often shave less frequently than American men, so they wind up shaving longer beards.
Gillette, which is based in Boston, wanted to test the product among Indian consumers before launching it, but instead of making the costly trip abroad, they had Indian students at nearby Massachusetts Institute of Technology test the razor. ‘They all came back and said 'Wow that's a big improvement,' Carvalho recalls.
But when Gillette launched the razor in India, the reaction was different. Executives were baffled about why the razor flopped until they traveled to India and observed men using a cup of water to shave. All the MIT students had running water. Without that, the razor stayed clogged.
‘That's another 'a-ha' moment,’ Carvalho said. ‘That taught us the importance that you really need to go where your consumers are, not just to talk to them, but observe and spend time with them to gather the key insight.’

Have you seen Novak? He got quite a lot of hairs on his chest of he doesnt shave. Only seen a couple of photos of him w hair there. So he removes it all the time. Wonder of he waxes it or shaving it.
Federer would have looked so much better if he shaved. I bet its hairs from his body on court after he has played there... on his bench... eww. Feel sorry for those playing after him.
But I do like hairy men too! Just that in sports and sweating its nice to shave.

Djokovic does a much better job of manscaping his chest than Federer. Switzerland does have a colder climate. This possible explains Federer's primal tuft. I don't feel a full shave is necessary but it shouldn't be left abandoned to become a bird's nest.
