I'm on the other side. He plays like a factory worker which is obviously understandable considering his height but I just can't enjoy his game as a viewer. A stereotypical Spanish/SA clay grinder. Works extremely hard on and off the court, it seems like he exerts himself so much there's no pleasure in watching him.

Yeah, I can understand that. He has a nice flowing backhand -- for a 2hander, but I can see what you're saying. He definitely has to WORK for it. But there's something about his bull-dog countenance; his pouty, shortness that I find endearing. Unlike the TV bobbleheads, I really like underdogs. He's tenacious. Doesn't have the physical advantages the other guys have. It's like voting for class president. Do you vote for Mr. Personality, captain of the football team, straight A's, straight teeth, etc., that gets EVERYTHING. Or do you "vote" -- clever analogy, eh?? -- for the nerd with acne, secretary of the AV club, whose steady "girlfriend" is the sock he hides under his bed? This same 4 winning everything every week is a f****** bore. Same on the woman's side.
