What does Nadal have to do to get clay GOAT status?

He is definitely Top 2 with Borg. As much of a Nadal hater as I am, I had decided to anoint him clay GOAT if he won RG this year. Yes.. yes.. it is not 6 consecutive and there aren't as many clay court specialists these days, but still Rafa's body of work has been nothing short of incredible.

Now, looking at the past two matches against Nole, I couldn't really find anything that Nadal was doing that suggested he is way off his peak and Nole was still able to bludgeon him into submission. Even if Rafa wins RG (I think he will as the Nole will tire), Nole looks like he will surpass Rafa in terms of ability on clay. I am confused now.

Andy Murray was a tie break away from beating him. If that had happened you wouldn't even be thinking "GOAT". You can't judge someone's GOATness based on one clay court season.

The good news for Nadal is that the next time they meet, if they meet, it's best of 5 against Djoker.

The bad news is RG is very close to Rome speed wise. Nadal has not won a single set against djoko this year on clay and Novak could straight set him again.

Dont count out Murray, Rodge and Sod in RG tho

Nadal has the Clay goatness with one more RG, but this year is very tricky.. Novak has changed everything.

Two more RGs actually to be the only and undisputed GOAT. If he wins only one he will be tied with Borg.

Beat Novak at 2011 French Open....JK. He just need to tie Borg with one ore French Open. He has so many notorious clay court titles and achievements that Borg didn't have the chance to achieve. Still give credit where credit is due....cause I think Borg didn't dominate the clay courts like Nadal did....though Borg had tremedous competition in clay courters!

Ridiculous statement, shows complete lack of judgement and/or observational skills!

Not today (yesterday)! Rome was very slow and heavy due to overcast conditions and recent rain there!
