What else is there to win for Djokovic?

So i have long argued about the importance of the Golden Slam. In my view in years to come it will be the biggest prize in tennis (might already be so now).
Alcaraz lost on clay to a 37 year old. I just cannot see how he will ever be seen as GOAT UNLESS he beats Djokovic at this years USO in the final or semi final which if he does i think would be significant as 3-1 h2h in the slams might be relevant in years to come.
But i suspect Djokovic will no longer be a threat as his motivation wanes, understandably so. He has achieved it all now.
He just destroyed him at Wimbledon this year.

There are a few more records he could nullify or overtake

So you go to what motivates Djokovic now? One more slam?

He's done it all, he's got everything he wanted in his career, I don't see Djokovic as someone who would settle for just being there on tour, he either wins or there's no point of playing.

Already during this year Djokovic looked like he's lost a step, like motivation is an issue then he raises his game to win Olympic Gold.
Wimbledon to match Federer's 8 Wimbledon titles. It was a weird year he did look like he was struggling. He is older but had bad luck this year most likely suffered concussion from metal water bottle in Rome meniscus injury even if small tear in Paris seemed so withdrawn at Wimbledon finals. Yesterday was the most emotional I have seen him since he lost calendar slam chance at US open from Medvedev.

There is a lot to still motivate him if he plays another four years.

  • 8th Wimbledon to tie and 9th Wimbledon to beat the record
  • 5th USO to tie and 6th USO to beat the record
  • 4 more AO titles to tie Nadal’s FO haul
  • 1 more FO to become the 3rd best at FO during Open era
  • CYGS
  • 2nd Olympic gold medal in LA
  • 500 weeks at #1
  • 110 Titles to beat Connors record for most tournament wins
  • 50 Masters titles

Yes these are the targets for him.
He may continue winning slams and masters till next two years

Only a crazy man would think of winning CYGS, a 2nd gold in 2028 or 4 more AOs - but we know Djokovic is a crazy man. The other records are possible if he takes care of his body as carefully as he does. LeBron is supposed to spend $1 million per year to keep his body in great shape - wouldn’t be surprised if Djokovic has a high budget for that also.

Olympics was the big one
Yes it was the one he had wanted and achieved.

There is no way he is winning all 4 slams in a year and will find it very difficult to win another slam.

I say he doesn’t but we’ll have to see on that. The knee is the mystery, as he seems to hobble around like he’s going to withdraw and yet again he runs around like he’s in his early 20s. We all know that knee issues can bring a rapid decline in any athlete.

Djokovic is in the great position that he has all the records and big titles he can just pick and choose what he plays now.

He can even just focus on smaller titles of majors get too much. However, he still has a chance in majors but might pick and choose what he goes for depending on the draw, his rivals form/injury issues, etc.

These young guys have to play everything and have it all to prove. Whereas the old man can just play 3D chess with Becker and just time it right when to try nick another major ;)

The love of the crowd will be his ultimate goal.

The ultimate zenith is the calendar year Super Slam, all four slams, YEC and SOG. Only Groot has managed to do that, every other players falls short and there no other player other than Groot is the GOAT. (y) :)
