What happened to Nole?

Is he on steroids ?

Don't be silly, steroids are so yesteryear...

No, he's bigger, faster, stronger.

He has more 'confidence' which he derived from beating those top notch players in the Davis Cup. The icing on the cake is his new doc that travels with him now. The one that is an expert in all things athletic, you know, stuff like magnetotherapy, acupuncture, SCIO, the pure energy in the body to name a few. According to Nole, this doc also helped him in non-medical ways (!)

So no, not steroids (they are stringently tested, remember?), it's a couple package.

I'd hate to see domination from such a workmanlike player.
He will get to #1 though, but I don't like his style of play.

Workmanlike, yes perhaps, but he can also do the splits, and he has a sense of humour, so I'm sure he'll be much loved if he continues to dominate. People love a winner.

Remember in late 2009/ all of 2010 when this guy oscillated between being ranked 2 or 3 in the world and he still wasn't listed as a favorite for tournaments?

i do remember that, djokovic was considered an afterthought, just a prediction of if he would lose to federer or nadal in 2 sets or 3 sets.

If it stays this way then yes, but I doubt our new King will allow that.
The King will march forward and win every slam. He already showed us the best tennis performance ever. The only thing left for him to do is win more slams than Federer wich will be very easy if he keeps his feet off the ground.

Just confirming. You meant "keeps his feet ON the ground", right ?

Winning more slams than Federer should be an easy order for the King, no ?

Nadal and Federer decided they couldn't be bothered to hit basic rally shots into the court or actually come into the net when Novak is stretched out wide slicing his forehand and playing like he was on clay. That's what happened

No, Djokovic is flying high atm where nobody can reach him.

If the King doesn't injure his wings then he should be able to surpass all Federer's achievments.

I think to some degree Fedal has become a bit complacent. They are friendly and have been essentially sharing the pie for years. Maybe this will wake them up a bit.

nothing that huge changed. he got his serve together and gained some confidence. he's playing smarter and more within himself from the baseline.

little things like that make a big difference.
