has it always been gut and alu rough?
i think he switched from gut mains to crosses.
what? I dont get it
It use to be alu rough in the mains and gut in the crosses now it's the other way around. Most likely for more feel and control given the gut being in the mains.
-First it was all gut (until AO '03)
-Then full BBAlu Rough (AO '03 & FO '03)
-From AO '03 to USO '03, with the exclusion of the given tourneys , BBAlu Rough mains/gut crosses
-AO '04/current Gut mains/BBALU Rough crosses
Yeah, that's right, he has switched it around a few times.
gut m and alu ruff x's feels phenomenal
thanks alot man
I dont think he ever used full ALU rough
just checked pics and he was definitely using gut mains at those times
what does the alu in the crosses provide for, is it sidespin for i/o and o/i groundstrokes and volleys?? I assume the gut in the mains is for power but never tried this combo so just wondering. Also curious as to the string tension he typically uses. Thanks.
Can't believe he's changed it around as much...... that feels like a lot of change for a pro at the top of his game
