What i want for Rafa and Novak in 2022

I want Rafa to win the French and Novak to get Wimbledon.

If both do that i would be more than happy.

Rafa will become the oldest RG winner in tennis history at 36, and Novak will equal Sampras and stand at one single W title behind Roger's record, leaving a possibility of equaling it.

I think on hard ( AO and USO) the next gen will take over, so no chance for our aging GOATS there.
 
I want Nadal to slay in epic kits and Djokovic to retire :giggle:

An absolutely deplorable abberation which would highlight some serious problems with equating wins with the good tennis de facto. Not that Nadal getting close to matching the US Open record isn't enough of one already.

I want Rafa and Novak and Federer to go mano e mano in semis and finals at all 4 majors and may best man win and end all debates. And yes i am ultra confident Rafa is going to have a great year. He so badly needed an extended break.
Rafa also must go sleeveless this whole season. Nike need to wake up.

Last time Nadal was in USO final he served volleyed his way to the title. Dont you enjoy all court tennis?
 
Id like to see one more Rafa/Nole Wimbledon match. I dont know Rafa has been off so long, he may just not be physically up to it and retire next year is my thought. 36 and off for 8-9 months with bum legs. Rafa may not even have it in him anymore.

Ruud could do just that although Rafa likely will be a man possessed at RG this year. Too soon for alcaraz. Musetti BH will be destroyed by Nadal and Sinner needs much improvement on clay. Tsitsipas is going backwards. Zverev is being distracted.
Not sure who else there is?

He looks super fit currently and has stated he feels he has two more beuatiful years ahead. Taking most of this season off and hardly playing 2020 may well have extended his career a couple of years for winning slams.
 
I don’t mind seeing the next gen flopping again like how they did the last decade

If good tennis de facto translates into losing 3 wimbledon finals, one with 2 championship points on your serve, then clearly Novak doesn't fit that category....(thank God)

Those are indeed the only three matches Fed has ever played, and are clearly the most choice of barometers. The salience of your point is not to be understated.
