What If.....Kei Beats Rafa In Monte Carlo?

Go ahead and guffaw....when you're done guffawing, consider this....

Most of us have wisely written Kei off as a lame-o pusher but what if
we're not wise? What if we're wrong? What if Kei beats Rafa in Monte
Carlo? What if he beats him.....in straights? What do we do then? How
do we re-calibrate? We've been pretty certain he's an empty pretty boy
who looks more like a surfer than a tennis player. You have to figure a
28 year old that cute is probably in it more for the easy sex than any
sports glory/history but what if he's not in it for the nookie? What if he
couldn't be further from Stepanek in motivation? So many questions here.

One thing's for sure, if Kei beats him it'll throw one big fat beautiful
butt plug into this clay season. Who wouldn't like that?

We'll cross that bridge when we get there, that is to say never.

He could've double-bageled Sascha today and I still wouldn't consider a win over Rafa in a clay final being in the realm of possibility.

Nishikori is anything but a pusher.

Hopefully he has enough left in the tank to nab MC, lord knows the only excitement we've had so far in 2018 were a few of Fed's curious losses.

Let Fedal eke out the big 4 tournaments, for as long as it takes a heir apparent to come along.

For masters', having some new faces would be a really good thing for tennis.

He will probably hurt his wrist and retire, nadal hits a heavy ball and his wrist is already questionable

NOT happening with that bad wrist. Kei is still grabbing that wrist whenever he has to hit the ball on stretch or heavy ball. Kei will be grabbing that wrist a lot tomorrow. But Good NEWS, Kei has built in excuse for losing to Nadal,, his wrist isn't 100 % yet

LOL :)

When thank heavens he's got that covered, I can watch the match more relaxed now.

Unfortunately, Kei has nothing in his game to hurt Nadal. Until someone can take advantage of Nadal standing 15 feet behind the baseline to return serve, Rafa will continue to win.

I have said plenty of times over the past few days, but I will say it again. Rafa is going to win Monte Carlo, Barcelona, Madrid, Rome and Roland Garros this year without losing a single set. You heard it here first.

I guffaw'd.

I predict Kei will get a bread stick and a bagel for his Monte Carlo breakfast by the sea.

What are the odds of Nishikori suffering a muscle strain/spasm/cramp and does a w/o or retirement by end of season?

Has Nishikori ever defeated Nadal before? He came close beating him in Madrid though(should have won that). So I guess he has game to trouble Nadal on clay but beating him takes much more than that.

For Kei is getting to the final enourmous result, so many 3 set matches after coming back.. he is happy with that I bet. No chance to take down Nadal

Kei has a very good backhand dtl, and his angled crosscourt forehand has been firing this week.

If Kei gets a good start, the match has potential. When Dimitrov put pressure on Nadal, errors snuck in. They always do, in all players. It's harder to hit winners, when there is a close match and every point gets important.

Best of luck to Kei, nice to see him back on the tour - nothing to lose here :)

That's what he said. The only takeaway I got from the OP is he's probably into Asian boys.
No, you just missed the sequence of events. I wrote the thread about Zverev when Zverev
was a set up against Kei. Then Kei rebounded so I simply changed the names and then
re-posted the same thread.

edit, I see now it was explained already. carry on.......
