At the 1997 U.S Open, the womens event saw 3 different women in the quarters or later fail to convert on match points. Monica Seles in her quarterfinal with Irina Spirlea failed to convert a match point in the 2nd set. Seles would have then played Venus Williams in the semis, and if she won Martina Hingis in the final, had she converted. Jana Novotna in her quarterfinal with Lindsay Davenport failed to convert a match point in the 3rd set. She would have gone on to play Martina Hingis in the semis, and if she won, Venus Williams in the final. Irina Spirlea in her semifinal with Venus Williams failed to convert 2 match points in the 3rd set tiebreak. How would each of these 3 women have gone on to do had they converted their match point. Would any of them gone on to be Champion you believe? Give 1 vote for each player.
