What if the grommets are cut into the racquet frame after restringing?

I have an old Head Liquidmetel Radical MP and I really like how it plays.
However, one day after restringing, I suddenly found several grommets are slightly cut into the racquet frame and the painting also comes off a little bit. See the pics below.
Clearly it is caused by the tension applied to these two adjacent strings. Is it the sign for the end of this racquet's lifespan or just a regular paint chips for stringing?
I am now worried about how long the racquet will last, because I really like the feel and control of this old stick and it is not easy to find a similar alternative.
