look at all the Nadal fanboys protesting on this thread..
lol
"*wah-wah* Why isn't Nadal on this list?"
"The ATP points are messed up!"

jeez just be quiet with all your Nadal pleads

next thing that we are gonna see is:
since there are more hard than clay tournaments, points on clay tourneys should be doubled (including roland garros since there are 2 slams on hard)

This is what I would want:

-Agassi's career slam
-Sampras's record of 14 majors
-Borg`s record of of winning the French and Wimbledon back to back 3 years in a row

This thread is a virtual laugh riot. FedFans complaining about NadalFans putting their favorite player on a pedestal. Oh, the irony!

You didn't seem to notice that most people "complaining" are not Federer fans? Is that what you guys always tell yourself whenever someone points out when something is over the top? The tennis viewing world is not divided into Federer and Nadal fans.

That's exactly what I noticed from the recent posts. People complaining about Nadal fans "gloating," when no one has "gloated" more than Fed Fans the last couple of years. I think it's funny, kind of the pot and kettle thingy.

So, you're saying, the rest of the tennis viewing world frequenting forums should resign themselves to being drowned in excessive gloating posts of one kind or another, depending on who's dominant at the time.

More specifically, do you consider Nadal Freak's claim that Nadal's achievements so far are far more impressive than any of the options offered reasonable? Needless to say, of the 8 options offered, 6 are not about Federer at all, but any thread must turn into a Fed vs Nadal thread these days it seems.

Oranges: dont bother
Reasoning with Nadal fans these days, after a quite impressive run by their favourite player is a more titanic feature than Sampras slam count added by Borg's Back to Back WB\RG and Agassi Carrer slam.

ps: ...wich is nothing compared to Nadal's victory over yada yada and the whole shebang.... (this will most likely be the reply left by the first nadal fan that sees this post)

Safin-Tursunov:
Tursonov serves on the match point, first serve
-Fault, but Safin goes to his chair picks up his stuff and leaves...
Now that leaves an impression on you...

THATS BECAUSE NADAL DOESN"T HAVE TOO MUCH TO GLOAT ABOUT AT THIS POINT>

BAHAHAHAAHAHAAHAHAHJAHJHAJHAHJHA

If we're going after curiosities, I'd go for Goran smashing all rackets and having to default, which until recently, I thought was a legend :)

did you notice one of them didnt even notice the sarcasm of my post... they are absolute no brainers

ps: i love how the see it in that dicothomy: either you are nadal fan or fed fan... so simplistic it is overwhelming... pitty wise of course!

I'm not saying anything so don't put words in my mouth. The reality is that many posters gloat over someone else's achievements. Ever since I've been on this board FedFans have been boasting about how great Fed is, and how untalented Nadal is. That's the reality. Now, Nadal is coming into his stride and some of the Nadal fans are giving it back. That's all. Do I agree with this? No. But as a Nadal fan it's real hard not giving it back considering how horrible the FedFans have been. I just have an issue with people who deliver the first blow, and then cry foul when they get hit back.

Nadal Freak has nothing to do with anything that I posted, so I won't even go there, especially since that's not the issue. The issue is, people who live in glass houses, can't throw stones.

And unfortunately, every thread does turn into Nadal vs. Fed. The right thing is to see who provokes it and not become a pawn in their game. But if you do, be willing to roll with the punches that come as a result.

what a discussion... its obvious - greatness impresses some people while nadal impresses other people and thats it

Oranges responded to me. Evidently, he/she feels I'm a reasonable (right, Oranges?) poster. And please don't assign anything to me that I haven't done. For the record I picked Sampras's achievement as the most impressive and made no mention of Nadal as I don't think he's up there with the rest. So your don't bother post not only is wrong, but you were being a rather annoying buttinsky!

Or more simply:

ORANGES CAN SURE DISH IT OUT PRETTY GOOD BUT HE CANT SEEM TO TAKE IT!

Gorecki is such a Nadal hater so he/she will attack every Nadal fan on this site.

In my view, the right thing is for everyone to have a sense of measure. That way, at least threads that have nothing to do with the rivalry would remain free of excesses of any kind. I haven't noticed any Federer fans gloating here, so where's the other part coming from? But as already concluded, I won't achieve anything with reasoning so

Nothing really to gloat about...but they are quite bitter and vindictive.

You came out and said that this past Wimbledon was the most boring ever and was of the lowest quality. There is no way that you could have honestly believed that. It was simply a mean nasty remark meant to belittle Nadals great acheivement.

Now thats the Truth!

Then why did you respond? I responded to you because although I don't agree with your views, I do respect the arguments you make. This last comment though makes me question my judgement. I never lumped you in there with the fanatics.

P.S.-I totally agree with the beginning of your post about a sense of measure. This is a public forum where we should able to discuss likes and dislikes without getting crude. The FedFans aren't gloating now, but their past history before Fed starting losing was atrocious, if you didn't notice it, then I don't know what to tell you.

Well thank you. It is getting to be a bit much here lately. People are losing sight of the sport we all love.

Nah...you are just another Nadal fanboy. Love the sport? PSHHHHHH. The majority of the time more like 99.999% of the time you put down Federer in any way you can then put Nadal up on a pedestal as MUCH as you can. stop pretending you are high and mighty.

For me it's a toss up between 14 majors and Agassi's career slam...you gotta be pretty darn good to be able to win a GS on the 3 different surfaces ;D

NOPE, not ticked off. Just laughing at you tryin to feel all "SMAERT".
Telling me to get a life? WHAHAHAHAHAHHHHHHAHA. I jsut have to mention Feds NAME and you call me a FANBOY>

YOu are the FANBOY x a billion. YOU GET A LIFE!

CYA FANBOY! HAHA!

Now, that's a true fanboy post! Well done, JohnnySpot. You made all Fed fanboys proud! :)
