What Is Going On with TENNIS TALK with Cam Williams?

About a months ago, I was getting ready to drop in on Talk Tennis when I noticed a YouTube channel called Tennis Talk with Cam Williams.

I really had no interest in going to see what was on the channel, but when I saw how much stuff was popping up around his channel, curiosity got the better of me and I reluctantly decided to check it out.

The content seems to be kind of like Tennis Now a general reporting of what's going on with the pro tour, only off the cuff. Play by play, if you will.

It was just like watching a live-stream, which is typically pretty boring, unless you have a larger than life personality.

I saw that this guy had over 100,000 subscribers. Which is quite surprising to say the least.

Based on what I was watching, I would not have expected more than 15,000.

Does anybody watch this guy's videos?

Is there anything that happens with this channel or is it just a guy who streams matches all day long?

I watch Cam sometimes. He’s entertaining and he hardly EVER misses an even halfway decent matchup. That’s why he has so many subscribers. If you don’t have a stream or a way to watch he’s the next best thing.

Moreover, he doesn't cry about Sinner being overhyped and Sinner can't ATG even if he wins 10+ slams.

I have watched the dude. And for what he does? Hes pretty good. I can only watch so much but the guy is pretty charismatic. Does not get into troll debates, respects peoples opinions . Nothing wrong with him

I haven't seen anything from him Davis Cup last year.

I appreciate the suggestion, but there's no way that I'm doing that.

I'll leave that to Cam, if that's what he wants to do.

I don't have the patience for that.

Meh!! You're whining about him getting views and spend good time on ttw crying about Sinner and you don't have time ?lol

I only watch him sometimes for the draws if there's no official live coverage, and as others have already said, he's not bad at what he's doing.

If you have no VPN and don't know how to stream live matches, he's probably the next best thing you'll find.

Nothing from what I've seen.

Major snooze fest.

I know Andy Roddick
I don't know the other guy.
That's all I need to know
But thanks, anyways.
Please don't take this guys word for it. Cam is a genuine tennis fan, he is fair, listens to others point of view, and also keeps things civil when emotions and passions get too high in the form of rude or disrespectful comments. He covers matches, draws, injuries, general tennis news, etc, asks a lot of questions in his coverage and he is a great option for folks that don't have a televised option of the tournaments. I know numbers don't tell the complete story, but it is interesting that Roddick has 96,000 subs on his yt, and Cam has 240,000, and Chilltennis has 922. I think his comments might come from a place of jealousy, aside from the fact he was asking who Cam was to begin with, so he went from asking who he was to telling you who he is.

He has a neesh, lots of people like him and he is a great option for those that don't have tv access to tournaments. He is a genuine fan, he is fair, and listens to others opinions in the chats. From the time you posted this his subs have grown to 240k, so he is doing something right.

I don't mind Cam. Good insight. Only thing I dont like is when he gets too animated when calling points lol. Probably prefer him to not do as much live calling and just call the odd point and provide analysis and call the score becase his analysis between points is great.

Kind of a thing that's happening everywhere at the moment but I noticed the trolls and bots have gotten worse on his streams. Tough job doing what he does having to keep the trolls and loonies and scam artists off the chat and under control. He does a good job keeping everything under control.
