What is the difference between a crisp and muted feel?

I come across these terms a lot in reviews and descriptions of tennis rackets, but don't quite know what they mean. Also, I see terms such as dampened, plush and mushy.
What do they all mean?

Dampened and muted are synonymous; plush would be similar but adds the connotation of easy power. Easy on the arm racquets fit these descriptions.

Crisp and mushy are antonyms. A stiff vs flexible comparison.

So, what about rackets/strings that feel kinda boardy? Is that the same as crisp? Or does crisp mean the strings produce some sound when hit?

I would say crisp is firm with precise feel whereas boardy would be firm but with not much feel.
