Never understood the vitriol over player debates when all of us share such love for this wonderful sport. Hence why I don’t generally frequent G.P.P.D. As someone who started using the internet in 1993 when Yahoo was still an exclamation, I’ve seen all this before in the days of rec.sport.tennis with the Sampras-Whisper trolling and never ending sh*t hurling over GOAT debates. And we can’t blame the great orange leader for this either!

Username is just a way to set up an account and its a random thing that appeared in my mind. Good name does not indicate a good person and that goes vice versa too.

Sorry sir/ma'am. Its just the way I like it to be. It wouldn't be changing at all.
If I'd be posting some insulting troll stuff, then it'd make sense to change that pattern and be respectful towards others. But it wouldn't make sense at all if some people have problems with my name (username in this case) and I'll change it due to that, it stands no moral ground to do so.

Last 5 days or so have witnessed a shocking exponential rise in hatred, both on fanbase level and personal level at our beloved talk tennis forum, TTW.

While I do appreciate the mods' efforts to take down what was some of the worst content on ttw, they were a bit too late. And even as of now, Whatever thread one may scroll through, its filled with full of hatred, insults and cusswords towards the greatest legends of the tennis world, including but not limited to Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Pete Sampras and many more.

while I do acknowledge that the trolling is nothing new for some of the forum's posters, the scale at which it has happened in last 5 days, is strikingly awful and a nightmare. Djokovic fans are attacking Federer/Nadal fans and the swiss/spanish legends; Nadal fans are attacking Djokovic/Federer fans & the Serbian/swiss superstars; Federer fans are attacking Nadal/Djokovic fans and the Spanish/Serbian greats; on a scale that is really gigantic.
