What kind of hybrid do you use

I use luxilon big banger alu power spin in my mains, followed by prince synthetic gut in the crosses. I was just wondering what others like in terms of hybrid stringing patterns.

I use luxilon m2 in the mains at 56 and babolat conquest at 58 in the crosses.

I used luxilon alu in the mains and technifibre nrg2 for a while. I really like both these set ups. good balance

I've used a few hybrids...

Polystar Energy / Wilson Stamina Spn (65 pounds)
Technifibre X-1 Biphase / Luxilon Alu Power Rough (64 pounds)
Luxilon Alu Power Rough / Babolat VS Touch (65 pounds)
MSV Focus HEX / Technifibre nrg2 (67 pounds)

They've all been alright, but I hated the Wilson Stamina. If I had some gut or some X-1/nrg2 in there, it would have been better.

I used Pro Supex BA mains/ Head Syn gut 17 crosses. Nice, but not the best.

Then I changed to BA mains/ Maxim Touch crosses. This setup is awesome, comfortable, control orientated, and has got a blend that is hard to explain, but they just work very nice togheter.

Pro Supex Big Ace 16 in the mains with Gamma synthetic gut 16 in the crosses. I really like this setup. Getting ready to try Gosen OG Micro Sheep 16 in the crosses due to the lower cost.

Kirschbaum Super Smash 17 followed by Gosen OG Sheep Micro 17 in the crosses, not the best but really hard to beat the cost.

You realize that M2 is designed so that you don't need to hybrid it...right?

Unless you're just doing it to make it cheaper, in which case you're wasting your money on a really mediocre string to begin with.

Hybrid with Natural Gut!

Cyber Blue 1.20 mains with Global Gut crosses is a perfect setup for me. Gut softens polyester and keeps string bed lively for a long time...

just played a match with Lux Alu Spin / Tecnifibre Multifeel 57/58

Didn't notice anything out of the ordinary with the "spin" but the balls did drop in nicely.
nice and soft - but it looks like the multifeel won't lask very long

I can tell that Maxim Touch is one of the best string for an hybrid...because of its price and how it plays...

i know but i just like it that way. I tried full m2 and liked it but i kept experimenting with some other hybrids and stuff like big banger and nrg2 and alu and some others and i just seemed to like the m2. the conquest and full m2 feel about the same but is a little cheaper.

Idk really i just like the set up. I used to use alu and nrg2 for a bit, which was highly recommended, but i prefer m2 and conquest. maybe im weird who knows:shock:

How is the durability of Gosen Sheep Micro 17? Does it break before the Klip Legend?

Thanks for your answer

No, it doesn't break, but loosing the tension relatively quickly. I think I'll go back to poly on crosses (SPPP,Cyberflash,Silverstring), the Gosen feels to soft.

My BC comes in a few days. At first I'm going to try out full string jobs of Black Code, but then when those break I think I'm going to stick with Black Code in the mains and X-1 Biphase in the crosses at probably 57/59.

update on the Alu Spin/Multifeel combo - the multi lasted about 5hrs before it popped. Tension dropped after 2hrs and meant I had to adjust my game - wouldn't recommend it.

Tenis, thanks for your answer, I think I will use one of the co-polys that you have suggested instead.
