He is a defensive player and it's unfortunate given the power he can unleash on his shots without making errors. Much more interesting to watch when Zverev gets in the groove and starts blasting shots, overpowering opponents.

Zverev is much more close to a Servebot/pusher than an aggressive baseliner.
He's not a servebot at all. First of all, his serve isn't that great because you're only as good as your second serve. And he has a great BH and decent FH. Servebots have neither. Servebots are the Opelka and Dr. Ivo's of the tennis world, hardly Zedrot.

come on...you can't say Zverev's current serve isn't great. I'd have agreed with that 1-2 years ago when he was Doube Faulting like crazy but currently, he definitely has one of the best serves. His first serve is amazing and 2nd serve is decent.

My dictionary tells me:

"A player – defined most simply as someone who fakes a serious degree of romantic interest while often conducting several similar relationships simultaneously – is deceptive and manipulative by nature. When one enters your life, you could be forgiven for believing that they are the answer to your prayers, which is exactly what they want. Such behaviour often disguises low self worth and an inability to form secure attachments."
Zverev's personal life 'episode' brings to mind the words of a classic Fleetwood Mac song, "Players only love you when they're playing".

He's a larger Djokovic.

Enigmatic to be sure, even when his game is really clicking it's hard to put a finger on what he's doing so well.

Maybe, Zod is simply the best servebot the game has ever seen. The best movement and skills ever seen in a servebot, redefining the terms of the category.

Defensive baseliner with a big first serve and a weak second serve. He’s in the Andy Murray mold, but given his height and the fact he can probably generate more power than Andy could, he really should be an aggressive baseliner like 2011 Djokovic and just bully people with groundstrokes.

We will never be aware of whole facts. She made a public statement. I don't see Zv refuting her comments about no contact. Some people just invite trouble. From one crisis to another - from one girlfriend to another and one accuses him on abuse. I don't hear anything from Nadal's or Federer's or Novak's or anyone else's partner complaining. With him, it is always drama. Because he's a player.

She said she does not want to share custody. I don't know much about German laws but I find it hard to believe that an estranged father would not be allowed to visit his child.
If he had a stable relationship like Federer and Nadal, he would have achieved much more in tennis. He has a lot of potential. The secret of success in any field is not having to worry about your love life. As they used to say, behind every great man there is a great woman. Don’t forget that even Djokovic performance dropped so much when he was dating the Indian actress and Jelena wanted a divorce. Too much drama is not good, that I agree on.

I keep hearing this and he's NOT in the Murray mould in one important respect - where he returns and rallies from. Murray may not have been trying to attack every ball but he stayed close to the baseline and took it early and on the rise. Zverev has like a 1 in 1000 chance of hitting it on the rise rallying from way behind the baseline. At least Murray was not giving too much time to the opponent to react. Zverev not only gives them plenty of time, he seems to WANT all that time for himself.
