Yep, you are right! But I like Morcheeba, Zero7, Air, Sigur Ros etc.

Right now I am listening to "Flatpack - Sweet Child O' Mine" (Original mix), reminds me on my youth-time, during these days Guns'n'Roses were popular :) But I like this voice much more than Axl Roses. Another song in my MP3-player is "Moby - Raining again" (Steve Angelo mix), I associate this song with a open air party while sunset at rhine (river)....

Yep: they are my favorite band ever to play, and I enjoy the solo stuff that Billy has recently put out.

Some musical news: I just purchased tickets to go see Ray LaMontagne and Guster in concert in Brooklyn in the summer :D

You've got good tastes as well. I've heard some Jurassic 5, and they've got good tunes and political commentary too- kind of a more hip-hop/underground Rage Against the Machine. Zwan is a good band also. For me, it's a bit hard to get into them because I am always comparing them to the Smashing Pumpkins, but I can listen to them once in awhile. Yo Yo Ma: very impressive. Although I've posted more one my "rock" tastes in this thread, I love classical music, and happen to be a cellist myself, so Yo Yo Ma is always a great listen.

I have been listening to Beautiful Love by The Afters a lot recently. Just a catchy pop/rock song. It happens to be the theme song to the show 8th and Ocean I guess.

Don't worry, I'm 21 and I don't know any of those songs either. It's all house/trance/dance music, which to me, no offense to this guys list, isn't really music.

How about 'Sugar Will' by Dave Matthews Band? Anyone ever heard of it?

And Janne, heard their new song 'Danni California'? Awesome stuff. Going to get the cd right after my final on Tuesday.

I know what you mean. I'm already starting to feel a bit lost in some of the music the younger generations listen to. It's amazing how "the music changes through the years" (Radio Ga Ga, Queen) but there will always be good and bad in every genre.

I'm really into different styles. I grew up on rock. Have you seen the movie "School of Rock"? See it if you haven't, you'll like it. I love that movie. I see a lot of myself in it. :D

I'm sure todays tennis isn't really tennis to you either. You probably play in long trousers, with wooden sticks and white balls. Well, the game moved on and progressed and so did the music. Go figure. :rolleyes:

"Dani California" is one of the cheesiest tunes by RHCP. Huge disappointment for die hard RHCP fans. Got saved by that cool video, though.

I think you have the video and the song mixed up there. I'm more a fan of their Californication/By The Way stuff, and Dani California fits right in. I also own Blood Sugar Sex Magik, and listen to it quite a bit. From what I understand, their new cd is supposed to be mostly like their old stuff, so I'm sure their "die hard" fans will be happy.

Like I said in my post, to ME 'house' it isn't music, and NO OFFENSE to the person that posted their list. I'm not trying to put you down here, just trying to voice my opinion. Also, many people don't think that a huge serve and no return isn't tennis, which is what much of today's game is (well, more so a few years back).
