Dwell The Burg 16 mm. This is my main paddle now. Lots of power, but if you are a tennis player, you can control it with topspin. This underrated paddle plays more like a tennis racquet than any other paddle I’ve tried. My one-handed backhand drive is nice with it!
Folks taking it too seriously or what has been the main issue you think? We have a bit of that at my local courts sometimes, that and the "stronger" players trying to monopolize some of the courts.
I think the issue is that people can get to a fairly decent standard pretty quickly and a lot of players as a result get an inflated ego, whereas in tennis and other sports you really have to play for a lot longer and you may never reach the same competitive standard that you do in pickleball. I can play the top guys around my area in pickleball and be competitive but my days of doing that in Tennis are steadily diminishing as I get older.
got into playing PB more now, picked up 2 Friday Paddles for un $100 and love them now graduating again to a Fever got for $99. Don't understand the allure of a $250 paddle, seems way excessive
