This is essentially the same poll I posted that ended yesterday ("what tennis racquet brand do you prefer?"). It will be interesting to see how different the results are...

The results of my poll were: 1. Wilson (43), 2. Head (38 ) , 3. Dunlop (34), 4. Babolat (30), 5. Prince (18 ), 6. Yonex (17), 7. Volkl (14), 8. Other (11), 9. Tecnifibre (5), 10. Prokennex (4).

Prince...my whole life unfortunately. Trying to like a Head racket but cannot. Wilson is too corporate. Babalot is WAY to trendy. Haven't really explored Yonex or Dunlop enough.

Wilson, but as soon as I get a leather grip and lead tape I'll be changing to my Prince, it's too HH for me but I like it

I'm not a brand loyalist by an means, and have used a lot of different brands during the time I've played tennis (around 25 years). But, Dunlop and Prince the most.

Currently Dunlop.

I can't be a brand loyalist yet, as I'm a mere 3.5 high school varsity player who's tried, like, 18 rackets lifetime. However, I have to say that my favorites are usually, if not always, Babolat. I like heads too because I played them before discovering Babolat. Dunlop and Yonex were okay. HATE all 4 Wilson rackets I've ever tried. Used a prince for a short time too once, but that honeymoon phase ended sooner than I wanted. Then I found my Pure Drive 107 GT. Side note, another of the best rackets I've ever tried was a Powerangle Centric. Check it out if you haven't yet.

Dunlop for the past 2 years. Messing with Head Microgel Radical and Liquidmetal Radical lately. Still a Dunloptard.

No way Dunlop is more popular than Prince or Babolat. I barely see anybody in SoCal with a Dunlop, but lots of Wilson, Head, Babolat, and some Prince.

Well, I think people were double-voting for Dunlop on my poll. Also, there just happen to be a strange amount of Dunlop admirers on this site for some reason.

Head Microgel Extreme Pro (2009 Model) with Babolat Pro Hurricane 16 at 58 lbs. Nice pop on my serves and good plow thru due it being a bit heavier. Nice and stable on impact too. I love that racquet. Also have a Dunlop Aerogel 500 tour from last year. A bit lighter but still a very comfortable racquet to play with. I've got that one strung with BB Original 16 at 62 lbs.

While I'm at it, I have a question. I never, I mean never, see an addidas racquet at my club. Are they out of fashion, do they stink, both?

I have not seen one either. Adidas could have at least named their line differently from their shoe line. With all the money they have, they could try to push their racquets to market. They barely even promote their racquets on their website. It's a half-@ssed venture imo.

hi - I have a quick question. I currently string with the Weiss Cannon 1.22 (mains at 50 and crosses at 52.) After a week, approx 2 hrs/day for 4 days, of great hitting, the strings are starting to feel a little loose. Any suggestions for tension and string life ? Should I go tighter and allow the strings loosen naturally ?

I loved the feel after a couple days...

... the Head racquets seem to be running a "head" by just a string ... huh ... by just a hair ... sorry ... that was bad, no!

I hear they aren't very good, but the bottom line is really just marketing. You don't think of them as a Racket company, you think of them as an apparel company, they make clothing and bags, and that's mostly what you see.

When you think of Tennis Rackets, you think of the major 3 companies

Wilson, Head and Babolat

Started as Wilson lover (T2000), quit for 25 yrs. Thought Head was the "one" for about a year after coming back, until I bought several MacEnroe Maxplys.
Went back to Wilson last year (KBT) and now really like the AG100. Currently using both the KBT and the AG100.

I'm using a Fischer now, however i may be switching to adidas if i'm happy with the Barricade Tour sticks i just ordered.

I'm still experimenting a lot. Currently playing most with a ProKennex (clicked that for the poll). I also have a Babolat and Head. A Wilson on the way :)

Racket

My coach uses a vokl racket he said he loves it but i couldnt find any to demo there made in germany. but I love my aero strike, I just need to buy a few more because there going out of stock. They quit making it

Played with a ridiculous amount of racquets since I was a kid (blame my tennis crazy parents...) I've tried most major brands..when I was able to afford my own, I've been using Head starting with the iS6...then the iX5...then the FXP Radical Team...then the iPrestige...then Youtek Speed Pro...after all those Head, I ended up using a Dunlop AG300 16X18 as my main racquet!!

I've regularly used the Pure Drive series, since 2002... usually upgrade after about a year after a new version is released (note to self: get PDRGT+). Also have tried the two original AeroPro Drives, and have hit with various others, Heads Dunlops and Wilsons mostly. Always go back to my Pure Drives...

Babolat is my favorite currently - Pure Storm Tour GT & Pure Drive Anniversary GT
Currently have 8 Babolat frames, 4 of each of the above.....

I have 3 Wilson BLX 95 6.1 18X20 - I like this racquet too, but prefer Babolat overall. Sampras does too now

Also had 2 Völkl PB10 Mid - VERY SOLID frames too......

Switched to Dunlop after about 12 years as a Wilson user. Of all the racquets Wilson offers, they just stopped interesting me. So I've finally ventured out.
