What rackets do you think the top pro's will use in a few years?

rafabull

Semi-Pro
Eventually some of them will make a switch to their setup. Djokovic switched from his Wilson to god knows what a few years ago, but it was still a change up. Nadal hasn't made too much of a change in his racket since he came on the tour (besides a string change a couple years back.) Obviously there has been a lot of talk about Federer switching to a racket with a larger head soon. So, in about 3-4 years time, what rackets do you think the top pro's will be using? Djoko, Nadal, Fed, Murray ect. Obviously not specific rackets unless you can see the future. Just specs. (Weight, headsize, brand, stuff like that.)

Nadal will be so ripped in a few years, his next racquet will surely be made out of cast iron, and redefine the stiffness rating system.

You mean actual racquets? Forget it, they'll use the racquet application on their iPhones 7...

^That was the second coolest tennis commercial ive ever seen. about the real question, well pros rarely change anything. there will always be new rackets, and the pros will always demo them, but if they're winning with a racket, they wont change.

That commercial seems really overdone haha. Just cause it's 2083 doesn't mean you have to roll on the ground to your next shot and wear masks when you play.
Yeah, that was playing to the Nickelodeon/Tron demographic. No thanks. I'm wearing a lacoste right now, but I'm not proud of it.

Tennis in the future will be affected by the economic crisis. Only the wealthy and the super wealthy will play. Racquets will be made from obsolete petroleum products, hemp, bamboo and recycled/distilled silicone.

The New World Order will promote three huge sporting brands that compete with one another, but have the same parent company. They will be known as Nikerothschild-Spazenger, Windsor-Wilson, and of course Babobilderberg.

The underclass will hold secret, underground tennis matches in bunkers. This will be called handball. There will not be racquets for this. Just balls and walls.

IMO, the Babolats look almost futuristic already. Nadals pulls out his APDC and it looks like a whole new piece of racquet tech.

I say this because I did not pay much attention to sticks until Nadal/Fed Wimbledon, and had no idea about them since I was using a Head Graphite Master from 1989 that desperately needed a string job.

When I first saw the Babolats I thought to myself they were going to be massively expensive compared to everything else..haha.

Murray, Fed, and Djoko play with classic rackets similar to what Courier, Chang, Sampras, and Agassi played and not too different than the previous generation of MeEnroe, Edberg, and Becker. These are thin beam, heavy rackets with a classic feel. Fed racket is over 360 grams customized, and Djoko and Murray's racket are even heavier.

Nadal AD is a different racket. Thicker, stiffer, and lighter static weight. Nadal does add weight and his racket is slightly heavier than the stock version.

The main difference is the materials in the rackets. The manufacturers keep adding different things to the graphite mix. But, I think the main difference in the future will be a few more pros will play with the lighter, stiffer, thicker type models like Nadal because they will grow up playing with these pieces of junk and will be used to it. The WTA is already dominated by these types of rackets with Wozniacki, Schiavone, Ivanovic, and Stosur playing these types of rackets.

same thing new paintjob. and the next generation will just use the racquets they used as juniors which will be the newer babolats and head frames

 Wow... Fail... Rafa uses an original APD with the APDGT pj, so not thicker and actually slightly flexier. For Fed's ACTUAL specs, look at the world-renowned fabfed thread. Nobody can say about Joker and Andy, but I would hazard a guess that they all use racquets that are very different from McEnroe....

gamma big bubba of course

its a secret but most players already use this under their paintjobs

Yes. By this time next year, all the pros will use either the Bubba or wooden racquets from the 30s. They will all be strung with 18g synthetic gut @ 2 lbs.
