What racquet does Paes use?

With all the Head paintjobs, I wonder what mold Leander Paes uses?

Curious about Daniel Nestor, too.

from what I can remember, he was using the exact same racquet as Joker, which happens to be a paintjob of some sort of older radical mp mold.

18x20, pro stock. I think someone mentioned that Novaks was like 340g, so it's not overly heavy. Pretty sweet racquet

Funny story for gear heads: I strung at an event in Florida in 200(9?) where Leander played. He was playing with a Babolat frame and I was admiring his custom handles (I don't remember if they were done by P1 or **** but they were fantastic, almost completely round in shape and wonderfully made). Another player stops while I'm chatting with Leander and asks Leander about his frames. Leander tells the guy all about the racquets and tells the player that his frames are extended, that it allows him so much more reach on his volleys. (Makes sense, Leander isn't a big guy). I don't think much about it until I finish Leander's racquets and put them up against the other completed frames on the wall. His frames were 27'. I checked them against a dozen other frames. When he came to pick up his frames, I asked him about them and again, he said they were extended. I didn't know if he was messing with all of us or if he was walking around thinking he had a longer racquet. I didn't have the heart to fill him in.

Looking at old pictures it seems that Djokovic was actually playing with a LiquidMetal Radical MP that was customized with lead. Some claim his current racket is a similar layup but without the ridges.

I currently play with a MP LM Radical, but I definitely can't volley like Paes.

Are Djoko's only 340G. I have seen pictures of his racket in his hands with significant amounts of lead tape at 3,9,10 and 2, and there have been many credible reports that his SW is around 370G. Doesn't seem possible for his frame to be 340G unless it is even or HH balance which is also unlikely.

Did they shrink so much after your stringing :-)

Yes, I realize this thread is 4 years old...

Watching Paes/Paire right now. Paes looks to be using a VCORE. Anyone know if it’s the SV or the new line? 95 or 98? Extended?

I swear, that guy could drop a volley on a dime w/ ping pong paddle.

Interesting with the injected lead. Perhaps that is why many say some Yonex players are using no lead tape to up the swingweight, maybe it is inserted inside the frame.

Well at least there’s little doubt as who Paes biggest fan is.....Paes

What a narcissist!

Injected lead seems to be talking about lead put into the handle, along with silicone to counterweight.
