What racquet made you stop you stop switching?

Pure aero team. Light and stiff to make it a nice platform for customizing. It has a lot of controlled power and is a spin machine.

Hey, I had at one time a V8, V8 noir and a V9 on one court for the day and I have to say that these were 3 different frames. The Noir version was the stiffest of them all...no idea why, someone mentioned that it might be due to the whole black colour...no idea really. The V9 was the best feeling of them, flexing a little differently than the V8 (much better, not like a noodle).
wow. and now ill be sending you my bill for the v9 lol

I used the yonex rqis xl 95 (Blue/Yellow version) for like 6 years until they started cracking at the throat and had to switch because they were hard to find online. Then I went through a lot of racquets until I landed on the Head prestige youtek ig mp. Played with that one for like 5 years but only own 2 so the hunt continued and they don't make too many mids anymore so pickinging has been slim. After the prestige youtek ig, I did switch to the 2018 yonex vcore 95 and also tried the Blade 18x20 v7 for a few years but never "clicked" with them. The blade just felt too heavy when swinging it...even tailed weighted to help it out and never felt right.

...... Now my main racquet is the Wilson pro staff v14 six.one 95. I am planning on buying like 6 of them just so I'll have enough for the next decade or so lmaoo.

How's the 6.1 v14 compare to the PS 6.1 classic?

Yonex VCORE SV 98...
  • crisp and connected feel
  • stiff enough with plenty of natural power
  • great inherent HL balance and maneuverability
  • 16x20 string pattern giving a nice low and controlled launch angle
  • a spin silo and generates plenty of both topspin and slice
  • slightly modded to get the stability where I want it
  • nice red and black gloss paint job (chef's kiss)
Just the perfect racket for my game and does everything I need it too and does it well.

Boom Pro 2022 - perfect mix of power and control for me. Plays best with the low stock swingweight (usually I add something). OHBH absolutely fantastic with this. Good paintjob.
The only minor problem is that t's a tiny bit too stiff to use my favorite string (Gamma Moto 17) every day (chronic wrist injury). But it works perfectly and without discomfort with Head Lynx 17 which is good enough.
