During the 2008 Australian Open, Safin used Luxilon Big Banger Original and VS Team 1.30 gut around 28/27 kilos of tension.

Since then, he has switched to full Luxilon Original.

At the 2008 Pacific Life Open, he used full Luxilon Original at 29/28 kilos.

You're right. He used to use Babolat Ballistic Polymono 1.30 only during the clay court season back in the years (From as early as 2001 or 2002 until 2006). On all other surfaces, he would switch back to Luxilon Alu Power Rough/VS gut 1.30.

Yup that is what my friend told me, he used to play with some of Safin's personal frames.

Actually, during the 2008 Australian Open, Safin was already using all Luxilon BB Original. He switched from the hybrid back in 2007.
