What are your favorite hard court tennis shoes?
Nike Breathe Cage I's, although I'm wearing the II's at the moment.
Right now I have a pair of White/Charcoal Breathe Cages. I'm going to get some Vapor VI's soon, though.
Adidas Feather IV's
Absolutely love the Feather Line, been using them since they came out with the II's
every single vapor except the 3's
Just ordered the New Balance 782. New Balance shoes are the only ones that seem to fit me well. I haven't tried on the 782, but the 654 and 803 fit me well, but the 782 has much better ventilation.
Barricade 5's and CB 1.3's
Currently wearing Black Vapor V's
Currently wearing Barricade V's
Loving my Prestige Pros. Not sure about the durability, but hands down one of the best shoes I've tried (B III-V, cage I, T22, T9, All court IIs)
RF Oreo Vapors
Sorry to bring it up again, but i'm stoked that i didn't get ripped off like i thought i'd been!
Nike Ballistec 1.3
Great shoe. Stable. Marvelous traction. Comfortable but not 'squishy'. Low to the ground. Appears to be very durable.
And I had not owned a pair of Nikes in close to 20 years. But this one is wonderful.
Currently wearing Barricade Vs but they aren't very impressive at all. Nice all around shoe though. My favorites so far are Cage 2s for practicing and Vapor 5s for match play. If the Vapors were more durable, they'd be my primary shoes. I'm either going to try Vapor 6s or Propulse (2s) next
Shoe of the year Babo's PP2's
2nd=Asics GR2's are awesome for the 3 weeks they lasted.
3rd Nike cage 2's currently killing them and moving at top speed safely.
4th NB 1004's great for playing hard courts all day very durable as well.
5thThe Barricade's legendary shoes does everything nicely.
All time fav=RBK Match day's
adidas CC Feather II
Barricade V's that need to be washed.
IMO Adidas Feather IVs are absolute garbage. For me, Nike Vapors are best, but not durable, I wear out the tread under the toes in 3 weeks...luckily the nike outlet nearby has some in stock now (white/carolina blue...ugh).
right now I am wearing a pair of black/white/silver breathe cages, with pair of obsidian/university blue cage II on deck....big fan of the breathe line, i am probably the only one who like the 3's....i liked them better then any of the others due to the tounge being seperated....i dont care too much for the one piece designe....
right now i am wearing wilson tours (Garbage but it'll do for another week or so, then send'em back), prince mv4's blk/red, and barricade v's blk/white. the barricades are the best for sure.
Barricade Vs and T20s. T20s for cushion, flexability, and weight, barricades for the durability, stability, and traction(and looks).
I only wear Nike Courtballistec 1.3's on the courts to play. So far, I have every color.
Yonex 304s are my favorite. After wearing them, most other shoes feel heavy.
asics gel resolution 2. i love the comfort and the blue color; time for a new pair soon.
In a few weeks I will receive my new personalized miadidas Barricades.. And they will truly be the only pair in the world..
For now I am rotating a pair of Adidas Tirand III's, and Nike Air Zoom Trainers.. (black, green, gray, white)
Red Clay: Nike Breath Cage II
Hardcorut: Nike Vapor VI Tour
Casual: The best looking Nikes from the Vapor IV to VI series
Barricade IV, V's, Feather II, III's.
Breathe Free II
babolat propulse 2
adidas barricades V. its been baricades for the past two years. best shoe ever, and warranty.
breathe cage II probably about 3 sets from being sent back, getting oreo vapors
Prince T9 Roadster. Flat feet.
barricades and cb 3's
Nike Nike Nike more nike D: havent tried adidas but i might soon... Breathe cage 2, CB 1.3, Vapor 6
i'm currently using new balance mc803, but have the ct1004 on the way.
btw, too many nike fanbois around these forums...
Adidas Ambition 2009 (Barricades are too expensive for my pockets)
Re Nike, I stay away from their shoes, they tend to wear out quickly in my experience (been wearing trainers for many, many years now)
Court Ballistic 1.2
lacoste repels for grass, vapor V for indoor and vapor IV for clay
I know my game went from being around 3.5 to being around 11.18 when I stopped using clogs a couple months ago.
sorry, maybe stupid question, but what are clogs?
They're a type of shoe that was invented in Switzerland I believe.. My first coach who was Swiss suggested I wear them.
the reason they hurt my game so much was they're made out of wood so when i'd try to change direction it would hurt my feet badly. I left that coach when he suggested that eating chimpanzee meat would improve my serve
I'm surprised that no ones thought to play in sandals, it's so much more comfortable. I mean it's kind of an obvious choice don't you think?
CB 1.3 white yellow, best shoe I have ever worn, in 12 years of serious tennis. Tremendous. thinking of buying 10 pairs to stock up.
