What Shot Are You Most Proud Of?

Drop Shot. I only played one official match (actually two in one go, a Jr. Team Tennis match) but I won it by a very wide margin, almost all of my points were won by either their UEs, or my drop shots. I must've hit 20 drop shot winners in the singles match. Doubles didn't go as smoothly for my dropper, but my serve was winning me many free points in that one.

hitting the ball out of the court after the match

but seriously, its the inside-out forehand which I developed and mastered in less than 3 months, believe it or not

In mixed doubles, when I'm playing the ad-court, and the opposing team hits a medium deep flat lob over my partner's side in the alley. At first they think it's going to be a winner when they see it go over my partner's head... until they see me rolling right, and wham, 100mph overhead winner!

I hammer down a couple of those in row and the opponents stop lobbing my partner, even though she's 3 feet from the net. :)

My forehand . Its big enough that i dont have to hit a perfect shot to be a winner. I can aim into side thirds and hit winners.

Also my serve

got a couple my huge kick serve followed by a drop volley and my flat bomb followed by a huge fh to my opponents backhand and then overhead or my extreme slice

so by now i guess you guys figured out my serve's my biggest weapon

forehand passing shot when opponent thinks he's made a killer volly and next thing you know it's whizzing past him, love that helpless look on his face. best ones are when you're able to take a good volley and immediately turn 'defense to offense' to turn the tables. equal are the forehand groundstroke hit with heavy topspin, with opponent at net, shot dives as soon as it clears the tape and he hits it into the ground.

Forehand down the line passing shot with alot of pace and topspin. I remember those as I fall asleep that night :D

Hitting a perfect approach shot followed by putting it away with a volley is probably my favorite thing to do in tennis. Ripping a forhand down the line for a winner is a pretty nice feeling too.

My return. It's my best shot and the shot I take the most pride in. The harder the serve the more fun and nothing is more fun and challenging than returning against a big serving lefty.

hmm probably my approach...or my squash shot. im also working on a reverse forehand. they're all my favorites, but i think i like my approach the best.

Mwwwaaahahahahahaha, now i know all of you secrets and strategies and will be prepared with a fool proof game plan for battle.

My favorite shot is a low pace, not much spin, bunt FH that lands near the T and sits up about rib high like a big juicy meatball.

I hit the most ridiculously awesome slice yesterday. My friend did a wide sidespin slice that landed in the left service box and started to twist to the side. I am running and hit a low slice about 3 feet in front of the net post and the ball lands 2 feet in front of net on the sideline. I so badly wanted it on a video tape.

pretty much any shot when i make really solid contact. the sound and the feel is just awesome. i'm pretty proud of the progress I've made on my 1-handed backhand in the last year too, going from having no consistancy to it being a competing shot to my forehand.

I love doing an approach shot inside out slice backhand. about 90% of the time the other guy is just kinda confused about it and I win the point.

One of my hitting partners hits this shot SO well. It is so pretty to watch. His form is so graceful, usually I'm admiring his shot and don't even go for the ball LOL!

Definitely my first volley. It just feels so awesome when I come in behind a second serve and my opponent has RIPPED the return at my feet and I get into position and half volley the return right on the baseline.

The other day I hit a slice serve and came in behind it. My opponent hit a perfect forehand dtl return. The ball was level with me (which is way past the contact point for a backhand volley). I lunged for it and flicked my wrist but because the ball was so behind me I couldn't really put anything on it. It ended up barely crossing the net and just dying. It ended up being a winner, lol.

I was playing a few double points tonight in a tennis workout class. I was at the baseline and the guy at the net hit a drop volley that landed about 3 feet away from my side of the net. I got a good jump at the ball, but midway through my run I didn't think I would get it, but I was running so fast that, I couldn't really stop, so I kept running anyway. When the ball was about 2 inches from the ground, I reached over my racquet in a desperation attempt to scoop the ball, and to my surprise, I actually hit the ball. The ball traveled around the net to the corner for a winner. During the flight of the ball, I knew it was going to be a winner, but I still wasn't sure how I actually hit the ball. There were about 20 people watching, and I pumped my fist for the first time on a tennis court.

I love the inside out forehand off the serve return on the Ad side. Nothing is better than using the pace from the serve and translating that into a smoking crosscourt winner.
