What should be bare minimum for player to have if he wants to dominate 2020 tour ?

Two arms and at least as many legs.

Without those it will be very difficult.

A sense of orientation, reflexes, a motive for playing, plenty of exercise, and hopefully friendly crowds. Those are also the essentials.

Seriously, I have no idea what the question is about. What do you mean "what bare minimum is needed"? Slams and many wins over top 10 players. Pretty simple.

Bare minimum as in level of play ofc, since it is evident that noone on tour except maybe 33 year old Djokovic is dominating the game in 2020.
Could it be peak Sampras, or Nadal from 2011 ? Lots of possibilities here and I am sorry that you have misinterpreted my question intentionally since I believe noone is that dumb to miss it.

His name should be Novak Djokovic.

But seriously I think anyone about 2012-13 Murray level (it was insanely high so not really easy) could seriously dominate the tour in 2020.

Let's see
2012 Murray wins the
AO 2020(Djokovic was there for the taking and 2012 SF Murray was sky high level).

Now clay might be beyond him but unless Novak /Fed brings at least their 2014 level,
2012 Murray will also win WB.

I even doubt if both 2019 Fedovic would have beaten 2012 Murray.

USO too might go to Murray.(Unless someone really really ctaches fire)

So I see 2012-13 Murray running the show with 2/3 slams and many masters.

Is that the least? I don't know.

But I think Djokovic 2013, Federer 2012,Nadal-2011 will also run the tour ragged today.

Consistency....something they sorely lack at the moment.

The backbone of Federer, Nadal and Djokovic is their incredible consistency. If you are showing consistency, you are always going to be giving yourself chances.

Nice reasoning. Wondering if Murray could do it all the way whole year as Hitman says.

Now you just need some level of game to put in as comparison ;)

I think Thiem is the closest we have to that consistency. Not enough to match Nadal and Djokovic, but in recent times he has showed more consistency than 38 years old Federer, so it is only a matter of time that he will "steal" the #3 in the ranking from Federer.

If not Murray then Djokovic 2013 then. Guy has a good to great Chance at every single slam.

Takes AO, and probably even RG as 2013 SF level was insane. Could put in serious claim to WB and probably takes USO as well.

Yes but it is somewhat strange to imagine player playing himself through time  I never could do that.

Great lateral movement and robotic retrieval. Serve is good, but not essential. Any kind of net game is not only unnecessary, but possibly detrimental as he may be tempted to come in and use it rather than hit another 20 groundstrokes.

That baseline game can suffocate not only his opponent but player who applies it as well. A lot of energy goes on that, probably the reason why Novak is going more for the net and has polished upgraded serve.
But if he is young enough with bags of endurance, I think you are spot on.
Bare minimum: Medvedev, but with a forehand he can attack with
His forehand swing is strange and looks weak indeed. We shall see what will be the first thing he will improve with himself. Doubt it would be forehand, seems like thing you are used to and is safe place for any player in rallies.
