What Slams did the Big 3 take MTOs?

Since this is a hot topic, let's discuss it further. These are the ones I remember:

Federer
2003 Wimbledon
2005 AO
2012 Wimbledon
2017 AO
2017 USO
2019 USO
2020 AO

Nadal
2006 RG
2007 AO
2007 Wimbledon
2008 Wimbledon
2010 Wimbledon
2011 AO
2011 RG
2011 Wimbledon
2011 USO
2014 AO
2018 USO
2019 USO ? ( did he take in after he injured his hand?)

Djokovic
2005 USO
2008 USO
2009 AO
2011 USO
2012 USO
2014 Wimbledon
2015 RG
2015 USO
2016 USO
2017 Wimbledon
2020 AO

Pretty sure I am forgetting some of Federer and Djokovic's. So does a trip down memory lane help everyone's recollection?

I genuinely can't remember many of them beyond a couple of years.

I do think Djokovic did one in the AO 2015 final but I'm not sure.

I mean going off these figures it appears Nadal and Djovkovic did this the most to benefit but i don't know the overall stats.

I think he was maybe putting on that day and I think he wanted to stick it to Murray for doing those same shenanigans before. Even I will say that. Lol. I don't think he took an MTO though.

Fed's bathroom break against Davydenko needs added.

But Fed's MTO from 2017 needs categorized separately, as he was almost 36 then.

Most of Fed’s came when injured (back problems in 2008/2012) or over 35. He isn’t in the same league of gamesmanship as the other two.

I've read somewhere that Roger took a MTO against Fish in Wimbledon 2003 4R, or it was Feliciano?
Also Nadal vs Del Potro at Wimbledon 2011 4R.

Not a MTO.. But in the spirit of the thread... anything to disrupt opponent momentum.

No that doesn't qualify. Now he has taken others like in WTF in 2005 and 2008 but those aren't Slams so I left them out.

We should take away all big 3 slams with MTOs and walkovers/retirement, then Mury can be GOAT

A grand total of 3 slam MTOs for Fred until he turned 35 lol. 2003 WB (Lopez), 2005 AO (Safin), 2012 WB (Malisse). Federer was up a break in the first set vs Malisse at the time, so two MTOs taken when down (down a break in the first set vs Lopez, on serve having just broken back vs Safin). Poor Lopez.

I'm sure there's more in the early part of his career but thanks for confirming 2003 W.

Fed should have taken tactical MTOs in the slam losses to Novak it might have take Novak off game a bit :D

Now, Djokovic did look hurt in the first set yesterday so an MTO would be understandable (and he didn't actually take one, PCB butt too hot). What really sucks is when players take timeouts despite playing seemingly uninjured, then continue to play just as well or better subsequently. Like Nadal in 2007 WB final. Djokovic took an MTO early in the fourth set of the 2011 USO final, right? Then that too. Yeah his serve suffered but he seemed to overcome that and crush the ball on adrenaline.

Yeah, that one. I remember that Roger was so hurt with his back that he wanted the rain to stop the play, but instead, it got so sunny and hot that he went out to win the match, and the tournament.
Yeah think he said later on that he was convinced that would be the end of his run.

Djoker 2011 USO was a shoulder injury and the reason he retired from the Cincy final. His serve speed also went way down in the 4th set.

Talk to me when any other player plays at the age of 35 and wins a major without taking a medical time out. What your list shows is Fed took 4/7 MTO's over a 22 year career when he was 35+ years old. So a thread to somehow diminish Fed turns out to prove the exact opposite. You're also utterly ignoring the massive elephant in the room: your guy has retired in 13 career matches, including 6 slams, so that blows doors off any MTO. ;) You're also forgetting to list countless Djoker MTO's earlier in his career (https://gulfnews.com/sport/tennis/djokovic-denies-charges-of-too-many-medical-timeouts-1.648129).

You can peruse this too:

Extremely injured, wins set 6-1 against primedal. What gives?
Serve was clearly affected, but apparently he was able to play at a massive level regardless so no mto was required (though he wouldn't've known that in advance, no matter).

They both were injured towards the end of the match if you go back and look.
