What Slams did the Big 3 take MTOs?

Talk to me when any other player plays at the age of 35 and wins a major without taking a medical time out. What your list shows is Fed took 4/7 MTO's over a 22 year career when he was 35+ years old. So a thread to somehow diminish Fed turns out to prove the exact opposite. You're also utterly ignoring the massive elephant in the room: your guy has retired in 13 career matches, including 6 slams, so that blows doors off any MTO. ;) You're also forgetting to list countless Djoker MTO's earlier in his career (https://gulfnews.com/sport/tennis/djokovic-denies-charges-of-too-many-medical-timeouts-1.648129).

You can peruse this too:

https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/...tion-for-abusing-medical-timeouts-ngsw8qp5t9f

I'm showing all their MTOs but somehow this thread is created to dimish Federer? Jesus. You are on the attack and very defensive. I wonder why.

I don't know really what happened there, but after losing the first, I guess, the trainer was on court for Roger to attend a "pinky finger issue", I don't remember exactly, since it was early in the morning, like 2-3 am.

then fedr lost in the next round to vincidate it lol

Extremely injured, wins set 6-1 against primedal. What gives?
Serve was clearly affected, but apparently he was able to play at a massive level regardless so no mto was required (though he wouldn't've known that in advance, no matter).
What happened after that match? The rest of the season? He didn't win anything after

It shows how he overcame his physical struggles during the match and his resilience to win his first USO

Since this is a hot topic, let's discuss it further. These are the ones I remember:

Federer
2003 Wimbledon
2005 AO
2012 Wimbledon
2017 AO
2017 USO
2019 USO
2020 AO

Nadal
2006 RG
2007 AO
2007 Wimbledon
2008 Wimbledon
2010 Wimbledon
2011 AO
2011 RG
2011 Wimbledon
2011 USO
2014 AO
2018 USO
2019 USO ? ( did he take in after he injured his hand?)

Djokovic
2005 USO
2008 USO
2009 AO
2011 USO
2014 Wimbledon
2015 RG
2015 USO
2016 USO
2020 AO

Pretty sure I am forgetting some of Federer and Djokovic's. So does a trip down memory lane help everyone's recollection?

Djokovic took an MTO LITERALLY before Murray was due to serve for his first slam win in the USO 2012 final.

Was that in the fifth set? I stopped watching after Muzza broke him twice

playing better while injured than healthy, huh? Possible for a short while - but stresses all the more that the mto wasn't in fact needed :D
Wow, Well you must be a physiotherapist by profession, kudos(y)

Haven't you seen athletes going for broke when they are hindered by injury EVER? Novak was also riding on confidence against Nadal, No injury was stopping him there

You are missing my point, dood. Which is that Noel wasn't playing badly before the MTO and played even better afterwards.

Professional sportsman has nagging injuries = faker

Linesperson acts like she's dying but after 1 minute she's fine and walks out on her own two legs = your hero

She saved us from another Djokovic cakewalk run to the final, followed by some Thiem choking.

The DC match Del Potro in 11 after a good first set finished it off. It effected only the serve in the last set of USO 11 though.

hmm.
If: 4th set 2011 USO F Djokovic is normal Djokovic just without a serve
and: 2009 USO SF Nadal is normal Nadal just without a serve
and the former beat primedal 6-1 while the latter kept getting pasted by del Potro 6-2 in every set
what does this apparent transitivity tell us about their willpower to withstand injury? noel mental boat once again

He was injured and we all know it, and so do you. Just right after that match he had to retire against Del Potro at DC and broke down boo hoo crying because he couldn't compete for his country. I've never seen him like that on a court before or after. Then he could barely even win a match the rest of the year. I have no idea why you chose this hill.

Funny sarc. Noel was probably in better shape than that and he went for broke unlike Rafa. Mental boat just maybe that year.

I'm not disputing he was hurting lol. I said MTO wasn't necessitated. too easy this.

yeah the nadal had no chance to win three sets like that, if he got hurt while a set away from winning it might've been different

The 2008 one makes sense because when Federer hit that shot that wrong footed Nadal he sort of stepped weird and was limping, so that makes sense.

Nah, Murray served for it (and won the final game 40-15).

There was an awkward 3-4 minutes where Murray was lightly hitting balls against the frame to keep his legs going.

He didn't take a MTO in 2015 RG final. 2014 W and 2015 USO were quick MTOs because of falls during the matches unlike the others.

Reminded of what? Has anyone accused Nadal of being a faker? PCB has called Djokovic out. Lets see if players defend him or not on the issue.

Didn't you start a thread about Djokovic faking injuries and calling MTOs? I thought you wanted to discuss this further. And yes they have. lol.

Who has defended him? And no i didnt start a thread accusing Djokovic. I started a poll asking peoples opinions but Djokovic fans got very sensitive over it.
PCB made the allegation not me. He is on twitter so you can discuss it with him. I have no idea if Djokovic is a faker or not. Never played him. I do think Nadal is getting in his head perhaps given Thiem went out which was a source of comfort for Djokovic in that he may have thought they would beat each other to a standstill for him to pick off in the final, and that rublev and tsitsipas may have gone over 4 hrs but the way things worked out it is he who has the harder task and perhaps that weighed on his mind. But like i say im neutral. I have not said definitely he fakes or doesnt.

He took an MTO during the fortnight which is what your thread is based on. Djokovic has made the final of every slam that he has taken an MTO since 2011...

I think you specialize in a new category - "accusatory neutrality".
