I was wondering if anyone knows Feds string tension on his racket. I think he uses Alu-Power in the mains but not sure on the crosses, if anyone knows what strings he uses for sure tell me, or anything close to it. Im hoping to make a blend myself!!

He uses Alu Power Rough 16 on the mains and Natural Gut 16 on the crosses. 25 kg mains, 23.5 kg crosses. The power and spin was unreal for me, but for you it will depend on the racquet and your personal swing. It will also depend on the stringing machine used. Babolat is the best. I personaly use Babolat VS Team 17 Natural Gut Crosses and Pro Hurricane 17 mains now at 58 lbs crosses 63 lbs mains. Hope you get a chance to try it out. Cheers !

Dude, use what fits you the best, not what your favorite tennis player uses. This is becoming so annoying.

I agree that some people care way too much about the gear/specs of their favorite pros, but no need to blast him about it.

Maybe he was just asking because he hasn't used a hybrid before, has no clue where to begin, and just needed a frame of reference. Who knows, maybe Fed's string specs are a good fit for him (a fairly common setup that isn't extreme like slapping on 3oz of lead to the frame)
Then again, his screenname might suggest that he is just a Federer fan/clone...

In any event,
IMO
People on here get way too worked up about this kinda thing, or the whole paintjob debate...

Also, lookin gat your setup, it is pretty darn close to your boy Tim...
So I don't think that you should be blasting someone for emulating their favorite pro...

It doesn't matter if he wants use the same tension as Fed. It's none of your business. Did he ask you what you thought of him? If you can't answer his question don't bother posting.

And Tim will never win Wimbledon

hey man. no offense...but you have it completely backwards. he uses gut in the mains and the Alu rough in the crosses. the idea is to have the racquet play like gut with a little tighter stringbed to keep the ball from flying and to add good spin potential. durability is not an issue for him as he changes on ball changes and every day for practice.
