What strings should I get?

Hi, I am a new member here and I got a question. I have a Wilson Ncode Nfury. Im looking to get some more consistency with my racket because its very light and the strings have a big part in consistency. I dont want to lose a lot of power because its a good part of my game. I am a kind of player that likes to also just push the ball in crucial moments. I use a lot of drop shots, I lob and my forehand and backhand contain heavy topspin. I just want to know what suggestions you guys have for strings. What should i get? Thanks in advance :)

If your racquet is very light then stay away from stiff poly strings on a full bed. It will destroy your arm.

more details! how hard do you hit, how often do you break your strings..you looking for durability or playability or comfort? How much are you willing to pay for a string? do you have arm problems? What are you using now and what do you like/dislike about it?

Im not a hard hitter. My game is not based on power so i can keep strings for a good while. So durability is not a problem to me. Im looking to for playability and comfort. I don't have arm problems. Im looking for only one set for my racket so im willing to go about $30 on 40 feet of string. Should I get crosses? To be honest with you I am kind of a noob when it comes to strings so i have no idea what i have on my racket right now, but if you need to know it lacks control.

Prince Syn Gut (w/or wo Duraflex) would probably work fine. No need for poly since you aren't a big topspinner on your groundstrokes and you could probably get enough spin for your topspin lobs. Much better touch than poly for drop shots and lobs. Multis may give you too much power and make your pushing harder to control. If you are looking for more power, though, a good multi like NXT, X1, etc. might help but it would cost a lot more.

Would the Prince Syn Gut give me good control without taking a lot of power out? What tension would you prefer?

100 or 110 sq inches? I have the 100, strung with Red17, Wilson Red Alert. Before I had a Gosen Polyon/OGSM 17, but any Poly hybrid will work.

I would suggest Head C3 Rocket, Wislon NXT Control, or even Natural Gut.

110 square inches. Thanks for the options. I am also a huge laker fan :D

With 30 dollars you could get a very nice set of gut but your probably better off with a syn gut and 30 will cover about 10 jobs minus stringing fees

im looking to combine the Prince Syn Gut 16 with something that gives me some power. I just cant seem to find the Prince Syn Gut 16 with 20 feet of string so i could combine it. They are all 40 feet

Not a frequent string breaker..go with a good set of Multifilament strings. Syn Gut like Prince Syn Gut w/ or w/o duraflex will not have the playability of a Multifilament string.

I would try NXT or X1 Biphase and use them for mains and crosses..they should be around your price range strung up.

If you really don't break strings often, use 17 gauge. That will give you more comfort, power and spin.

String it middle tension and add or drop 2lbs depending if you want more control or power every string job.

Your current string lacks control because its probably too old and its playing dead. I would recommend changing strings at most every 2 months. I change my strings every 2 weeks..well I am forced to..

If you want better tension maintenance on multis, have your stringer pre-stretch it.
