what tennis shoe is good for my wide feet?

I'm asking for opinions from the tennis folk on this forum.

I'm female and wear a 8 Wide. I use to wear the Adidas Barricade 5's and the 8 was wide enough for my wide feet. Sadly, they discontinued it and I bought and currently wear the barricade 6's and they are narrow and uncomfortable. I actually developed calouses on my feet due to the narrowness.

I've heard that nike shoes are even more narrow, and I really like the way the barricade's handle, but I don't think i've seen a new balance shoe that seems to be built as well.

Can anybody suggest what brand I can get for wide feet? i wear 8W for all my shoes as well, they fit fine... but I'm definitely a Wide.

Thanks!

new balance offer shoes in widths.

k swiss and prince are often wider than average shoes even though they don't offer wide shoes

Nike Breathe 2K10

i second this one. i have very wide feet, and actually found adidas too narrow for me. breathe 2k10's are wide and light as well, only problem is the durability; if you tend to toe drag, then the shoe will wear down pretty quick, especially on hard courts (although i think you can use the six month warranty in america?). a friend of mine who also has wide feet said babolat's worked well for him, and like me he struggled with adidas.

thanks

Thanks everyone for your input.

I tried the prince t22 and I can say they were nice and roomy...
I have low arches actually, the only thing was the prince t22 didn't have much arch support.

I didn't see the Nike Breathe 2K10 being offered at ********* (where I was trying the shoes on... but will look into it).

That's my complaint with New Balance.
So I just bought a pair of those fugly Yonex blue and silver moon-boots. The toe box isn't quite as roomy, but it's good enough as long as the arch support is there.

hi!
i see two options:

a. try the t22 with orthotics (i.e. superfit)

b. yonex has very good arch support (some say too high) and roomy forefoot.
and - you have to like (as me) the snug fit around the heel and midfoot. anyway, i recommend the 307 as an alternative.

I've been pretty big on the T22's myself,...but was disappointed when after several weeks some of the eyelets that weren't 'reinforced',....started to rip out,...i put in my own reinforcements,...but something to be aware of,....

Prince T9 Roadster are wide in the toe box.
Wilson Tour Vision are wide in the toe box.
Neither has spectacular arch support, but if arch support is an issue, then go with orthotics.

NB's are the only shoes that have actual wide sizes 2e and 4e if I'm not mistaken. Please somebody tell me if there are other shoes with actual wide sizes. I'd like to branch out.

I have been a fan of New Balance but I do have to always add a bit of arch support with them. But plenty of room for my giant feet.
