I can't seem to find any peace of mind. It hurts to see her constantly with someone else. flirting and stuff. I know I'm just being a pansy about it, but it doesnt change the fact that it hurts. Alot. I'd hate to say it, but tennis can't even distract me from how cute she is. That smile kills me man.

It is all part of The Lord's infinitely mysterious plan whereby terrible things happen to decent people for absolutely no reason at all. Find comfort in this.

why do you think they invented the strip bars and the girls who work there?
Go check it out.
That industry is the most pure of definitions for "redistribution of wealth". Anyone willing to subsidize the hooahs and their handlers deserves to be separated from their cash. Instead, fly to Amsterdam and walk the Red Light District for professionally thorough treatment!

Go out and meet other girls. You will still think about her for a bit, but your confidence will go back up and you will realize there are better options out there.

Worst thing you can do is sit around thinking about it.

Man, what I would give to be young and living in the East Bay area today...there's got to be so much skirt to chase you might not ever get back on the tennis court until you can play USTA age bracket tourneys!

The mindset you need to adopt is that she made the flawed decision in dumping you...ergo, go enjoy that new-found freedom!

You got that picture right!
EastBay, there is UCBerkeley, BerkeleyCC, Mills, colleges. Outdoor programs are going year round. You have snowboarding clubs, ski clubs, kayak clubs, sailing and windsurfing, and every girl wants to learn to kiteboard.
Year round tennis, botanical gardens, and all the surrounding NationalParks.
Even a geezer can luck into a g/f here.

Lol Leed, I'm going to follow your example! Actually met a nice latina that might be able to cure my woes... Best part? She plays tennis haha!

All said and done, I gotta grow some balls and accept that it wasn't right anyways and get a move on life!

Glad your perspective has become more far-sighted! And if the next one yanks you around too (and she will) the scar tissue you develop from the breakups is actually healthier for you the thicker it gets.

Sometimes letting go is the only way to move forward.

If you don't learn to let go, you'll never be truly happy.

Kinda practicing what i just said at the moment so chin up and hang in there you're not alone!!!

You obviously need to snap out of this. I would just go to a party and hook up with a really hot guy, to mix things up.

I've been married for the last 17 years, but if I was to suddenly find myself single this is exactly what I would do:

First of all, get a cute dog, something like a Shih Tzu. they are great company and give unconditional love. Two, they are serious chick magnets. Then find out where all the hot chicks work out and get a membership there. You'll never want to get tied down again.

The healing process has begun! Great.
You deserved better anyways.
Lots of guys like to separate their sports from their women.
I"m not one of them. My girl windsurfs and rides bikes, two things I like.

Immerse yourself in a new passion...and you might just find a new passion.

Seriously, get on with doing something you like (a hobby) or need to (studies or job). Not only will you begin to occupy your mind, you might have your eyes opened to a new friend.

And when all else fails, borrow a friend's kid. You'll make your friend a very happy camper by giving them an hour or two break. Babies, in particular, and little kids in general are also "chick" magnets...especially of the type that have any interest in a long(er) term relationship. And, maybe being around a little person...you'll learn a little bit about yourself too: are you cut out to be a parent yourself? Nothing will make you "grow up" faster yourself than having to look after someone much smaller than you. Finally, even as frustrating as they can be, kids can really make you smile. Especially when you get to give them back. :p

Not sure of your preference of music style, but there are many songs about heartache and missed "chances." My current favorite that might apply to your situation is called This by Darius Rucker.

Good luck, mate. :)

Many years ago the Allman Brothers Band recorded a song titled "Black Hearted Woman" Its a great rocking track but listen to it and heed the message. "Black Hearted Woman, seems that trouble and pain is all you crave"

Be strong, get out and find another woman. As simple as that.

haha you guys are great. I'm kind of enjoying how this thread turned out. Still feeling blue, but getting out there. Playing not so good, but fun tennis.

I'm probably just one of those insecure guys that need someone elses affection to feel adequate in life. But hey, I'm young and theres always room to grow. I hope lol.

Come on man, do you live in one girl city??

There are thousands of women out there, get together with your friends, grow some balls, meet some girls, make her feel like you're the guy to hang out with, you're the fun, and after all of that you make her live like she can't wait for a second to see you, still keep meeting women never mix up work with relationship, go out and meet them out there, that's fun, meeting girl/women that I worked with was always a turn off, nothing more boring and lame to me, my goal was to go out meet the hotties (not always I got what i was looking for), meet so many women that after sometime you'll know what you like and you'll have so much confidence in yourself that you can walk up to any woman and make her attracted to you.

Remember: Attraction can be triggered.

You have no idea how easy it is to meet women and surprisingly how many women out there are lonely looking for a man. Most women settle for less than what they'd like to have for their convenience ($) :) .
