What can I put in that would lively up the string bed as well as add some more spin since it is a dense 18x20? I was thinking an 18 gauge poly in the mains and a 16 gauge multi or synthetic in the crosses?..............

That sounds pretty good. Do you like hybrids like that? Lively can mean spin and/or power so gut might even suit you. I love gut in Prestige mids, and in all racquets really.

I purchased a MGPMid. I ordered it unstrung AND I want something soft and gut-like. I figure since it's 18x20 it'll be harder to break so... any suggestions? My price range would be about 18 and below.

I liked Babolat Pro Hurricane (Regular, not Tour) 16 gauge the best at 57 lbs.

what kind of player are you? that'd help. because if you dont hit the ball too hard, an 18 gauge syn gut works well in these sticks, but it may not last long for you. but if you're gonna hybrid, at least use a 17 gauge synthetic cross. 16 stiffens it quite a bit more.

i tried sppp and big ace in their lowest gauges on the mp version and i think it feels amazing, especially the sppp.

i play with mostly spin
