What to Self-rate again?

Last year I self-rate 3.5 for combo teams and this year played 4.0 leagues in Cal. I had many win and team won local 4.0 league.

But now to play combo, I can self-rate again?? Should I rate 3.5 for these?

Thank for your thoughts.

You can play whatever level tennislink says that you are or higher. If you re-self rate lower than what tennislink says (by using a different name/address), you are just cheating.

In a nutshell, if the computer still tells you that you are a 3.5, play there or higher. If it now says 4.0, play there or higher.

^ that's because your self rate expired.

what polski is saying is that you have to self rate again when you register for this new team. answer the questions it asks you and you will receive a new self rating.

But now it say 0.0

I see what you are getting at.

You should just be honest & have integrity. If you were able to win easily against 4.0's, then it is probably unethical to call yourself a 3.5. But, think about your matches at 4.0. Did you win because:
- you played with a strong partner?
- your opponent didn't play well or was a weak 4.0?
- you had a really good day?

If you played your normal game with a normal 4.0 partner against people playing their normal game, then you are a 4.0. If you had a ringer of a partner, you may really be a 3.5. Just be honest with yourself.

And even though DQ to 4.0 rating in May, now ok to self-rate back to 3.5 in same year.

Not sure what you mean by "even though DQ to 4.0 rating in May". Are you saying that your 3.5 matches were DQ'd?

If that is the case probably shouldn't self rate back to 3.5 IMO. I would guess the system will know that you were DQ'd as a 3.5 and wouldn't give you that rating anyway.

Once you have the team number go through the system and let us know what it does!

Good luck!
