did it also seem a bit of a stretch the numerous times he's kneeling in the street, gets hit head on by a speeding car, and gets up to walk away?? This thing more resembles a cartoon or video game than a movie, with action scenes not so much coherent as hilarious -- they were laughing out loud at the silliness of the thing when I saw it, and it succeeds more as a comedy than anything else (there's certainly no suspense when every hail of bullets seems to manage to miss our hero).

    To each their own

I thought the movie, from a pure action standpoint, was the best since Mad Max: Fury Road

Lion, although I gave it a 7 out 10, I wouldn't watch it again...it's one of those movies you only need to see once but that's just my opinion! :)

The first half was gut-wrenching, at least for me.
The moment Dev Patel comes in, the movie goes downhill. They probably should have done with an unknown actor for the second part, rather than someone now quite known for his comedy roles. I thought the little boy was amazing.

There are thousands of children in India (and other 3rd world countries) who are homeless, and who probably suffer a much worse fate. Abuse, drug addiction etc. I still remember that movie every now and then and it disturbs/shakes me.

I agree on the first paragraph 100%...

And second paragraph, yes it is very sad that there's heaps of children in India that are homeless and suffering badly, also across the world I'm sure there's plenty in similar situations...if only they could all be saved!!

OMG, I just saw "Passengers". This is by far the BEST movie ever made in history of movies... I give it 15 stars out of 10. I cried like 6 times in this movie.

Just saw Logan....best superhero movie since Dark Knight imo. Was pleasantly surprised how brutal it was- when your main character fights with steel claws it should be brutal.

Is saw the Viceroy's House, the story of partition and the no win situation Mountbatten found himself. I suspect historic accuracy plays second fiddle to making a film which is ultimately sympathetic to Mother India and a predominantly Indian audience.

I also saw Elle, a good French psychosexual thriller come family portrait....

Watched Anomalisa (2015), a stop-motion animation by Charlue Kaufman. That guy is clearly quite peculiar..

It was fairly good and definitely inventive, both moving and a bit funny, but for whatever reason I found it unusually depressing and a bit disturbing for that reason..

Come and Find Me with Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul (Jesse Pinkman). He was very good but the plot and movie itself was pretty awful and cookie-cutter. I only watched it because I saw he was in it and wanted to see how he could do in non Breaking Bad content. He has a great future. It's always a good sign if an actor/actress can carry a terrible movie/script.

    Yes it is quite brutal.

I made reference to a 'family portrait' as there is more to the film than the brutality alone.

you really need to have more positive and brighter outlook on life. Glass is Half Full......Glass is half full. Knowing that ONLY you can make yourself happy, truly happy. having money or having hottest girl in the world doesn't and will not make you happy, not truly anyway.
