    "The Wall"

in theatres, Iraq in 2007, two combatants get to know each other. Worthwhile and thought provoking.

Regarding Henry - Harrison Ford, Annette Benning.

Family movie, rather convenient events and ending.

one of my favorite films for the central point it makes -- it might take a bullet in the head to turn a lawyer into a nice guy

A Street Cat Named Bob - Based on the biographical book about the fortunes of a recovering druggie and busker who takes in a stray cat. It's a feel good film so expect a degree of artistic licence.

    Alien: Covenant

After the dreadful Prometheus and average reviews my expectations were low but I actually enjoyed this.

I liked Guardians of the Galaxy vol 2 more than the first one.

Alien is great. Aliens is very good. Alien 3 is good. Alien: Resurrection is poor. The other two...

For the record I prefer the original cut of Alien and the director's cut of Alien 3. On the fence about Aliens.

The way they did it, it's looking like a sequel is in store for us. I enjoyed it regardless, and James McAvoy was brilliant.

No! Alien Coverant is too scary for me to see at the theaters! I scare of big 8-16 feet insect ants and the way they use humans to reproduce! Errrrrrrrrr!

Tom Jones (1963) - Comedy. Can't say I liked it much. Okayish.

Too many sexual references *shock* for a 1963 movie !!!

Nicely gripping movie, really liked the action/fight scenes, but had a well portrayed story. Enjoyed it quite a bit. Really liked X-23, she was so bad@ss.

Haven't done any serious criticism of late, but have been keeping up with new titles and here's one doc I can recommend, Chasing Trane by John Scheinfeld. A semi-extensive review:

Plus two more features: After the Storm by Hirokazu Koreeda and Graduation by Cristian Mungiu. While neither can approach each director's best (Like Father, Like Son and 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days, respectively) both are still vastly preferable to the tiresome superhero flicks or most "independent" efforts out there and have much more to tell us about the world we live in. Also while a slight work Otto Bell's The Eagle Huntress boasts some of the most spectacular landscape cinematography ever captured on camera (too bad you can't watch it on the big screen anymore).

Didn't like it at all. Haven't we seen those *aliens* in several The Simpsons episodes already?

Watched Lego Batman, Logan, and Fate of the Furious this past weekend. Batman and FF8 were disappointing compared to their prior movies. Logan was great though. X-23 was bad ass.
